It is such a cozy and lively place in the center of many activities. They serve great food and cheap beer, even make great pan pizza with lots of cheese. Very helpful, lovely staff. This is a well-designed hostel, always kept clean. I had a great time here.

After a week of staying in a couple different types of places in Chengdu and Jiuzhaigou/Huanglong, it was a delight to arrive at Lazybones for our final night in Sichuan. I just wish we'd come sooner! The staff were fantastic, especially compared to the standard level of service one receives in budget hotels across China. The rooms were really nice and clean, the bar and common area lively and friendly, and the facilities very nice in general. 1 recommendation: In-room wifi would be great!

Great hostel with friendly and informed staff. A place where you can relax and step out of madness for a while.

Very nice place, definitely an improvement on the Mix Hostel (same owner). Large, roomy and airy with lots of sunlight. Two things: The only toilet not in a private room is a Chinese squat toilet, and almost all the towels we got in our double room were uselessly thin and full of holes. Staff were helpful and friendly above and beyond, bar had a decent selection of food and drink to while away the evenings with. Bar staff seem quite content to play pool during the day and mingle with guests.

We had an excellent time in Lazybones Hotel. I am recommending it to all backpakers who want to visit Chengdu. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location in the city centre. Great visits organized by the hotel. Really really perfect!

Not the best hostel, very anti-social common room and would have been a lot emptier had there been wi-fi in the rooms.

Very nice hostel located in the center of Chengdu just next to a metro station. We used a double room/ the bed was comfortable and the private bathroom was nice. The common areas had a nice atmosphere. The staff were really useful in giving indications to go around the city and away. We went to the panda research center with their tour and it was good. The guide did not speak much English but walked us around and looked like he knew what he was doing ;) Definitely we would stay here again.

wow! I cant think of a hostel in china that's closer to the subway than this one! very professionally run, with a very cosy lounge, excellent for meeting fellow travellers, soothing background music. (lazybones has got it right, unlike some other hostels who think young western travellers prefer non-stop loud disco/motown music). lovely young friendly receptionists, welcome coffee or beer, close to the top malls and a popular noodles restaurant right across the street. oh, and clean bathrooms!

The hostel is ok. It's in a good location and the advice they gave about the bus to Leshan was good as was the Panda trip we booked through them. Food was cheap but not amazing. Wifi is only available in the common area so this is over run with Chinese people with their heads buried in their laptops/ipads so not massively social. Private room felt a bit run down and bathroom while newly refurbished was a bit smelly. However on all of the four nights we stayed we were woken up several times by

Great hostel, terrific location, and comfortable rooms. If you're going to the giant buddha make sure that you get your tickets early like 7:30 am. I tried to book a tour through the hostel and they told me to get a ticket by myself. After going to the bus station at 9:30 they told me that they didnt have any more tickets available.

Lazy Bones is the best place we stayed in China. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and really nice (stayed in a private twin). The whole place had a really nice chilled out and friendly vibe. The breakfast was particularly good- you have to try the French toast!! Would definitely stay here again and hope I do!

I really enjoyed my stay at Lazybones, so much that I didn't want to leave! The location is great, right opposite the metro station and within close reach of many major attractions in Chengdu. Staff were fantastic and very helpful. I very much enjoyed the free cycle tour of the city and the dumpling party. Big thanks to Kaye, Jennifer and all the staff. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Chengdu.
