This is my second stay at lazybones. The experience was as good as the previous stay. In my last review, I forgot to mention how much I liked the free map they provided. Interesting and/or useful/practical spots are carefully picked up and marked on this pocket-size city map. I've stayed at many hostels in Europe, Middle East and Asia, a map of such kind is a feature that I expect from an excellent hostel, I was glad that lazybones did have it.

Very good value for your $. The atmosphere is homey with people always hanging in the common area for talking, eating, and pool. Many scheduled group activities - dumpling making, bike + walking tours, panda breeding center trips, etc. I only have a few items on the menu but they have a estaurent on the premises that makes tasty dishes morning, noon and night. The staff is pleasant, and most of them speak english. Particularly, an intern Veronica during my stay was extremely helpful and kind

Everything you're looking for in a hostel. Lazybones is clean, friendly staff, has a bar, and has free activities. We much enjoyed the free dumpling class and the panda tour was GREAT! Would stay again!

I enjoyed my stay in Chengdu and Lazy Bones Hostel. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the atmosphere in the hostel was relaxed and open. It was easy to meet new people, but I also liked the fact that even though the hostel has its own bar, it is not a crazy "party hostel". The only downside was that the building does not have central heating, so it is rather cold inside over the winter months. You can heat your room with the A/C, though, and the beds have mattress-heaters.

the check in staff ought to inform its guests about various activities and tours and the city map to get the guests feel more comfortable. apparently the night time check in staff was rather unkowlegeable and stiff when facing guests.

I had a great stay at the Lazy Bones Hostel - the staff were so friendly. They organised lots of activities and provided an excellent FREE dunmpling party. The staff also gave great advice on local transport and had a really good knowledge of the local area. Thanks to all at the hostel I found myself wanting to stay longer!

A nice hostel with a great location, next to Luomashi subway station. The two bed room was big and comfortable (and had electric blankets). Staff can help you with organizing your trips: panda research center, tips, directions, ... Very cozy and relaxing common room. Hostel offers dumpling cooking party once a week.

I stayed there for a week with a friend of mine and we had a good time! People are mostly nice and helpful. Rooms are clean and bed get electric and warm matress. I recommended the place to a friend of mine and hope they will treat her as well as they treat us ;). I just noticed 2 negative points, music is too loud at night in the commun room so you cannot skype and you don't get wifi in the room. excepted that , it is a good value and I recommend that place ;). I'll be back soon to comment...

We had a good stay in Chengdu Lazybones Backpacker Boutique Hostel. The bed has blanket heater which provided great warmth especially for us who are not accustomed to cold winter season. The only setback was that the bathroom was rather smelly at times. We noted the wall memo said the there was poor sewer system which I am sure could be rectified in due course.

Staff was fantastic and very helpful, room was nice - only complaint might be the door alarm required one to close the door very firmly or be faced with a mildly annoying beeping, but that was very minor. I will be staying here again.

It's probably the best hostel I've stayed in during my Christmas-new year holiday trip in China. It's well located, being a stone's throw away from metro station, and within walking distance to many attractions. Rooms are clean, equipped with personal lockers. You can meet other travellers and get wi-fi access in the cosy common area. Plus, staff were friendly and helpful during my stay. Thank you all, particularly the receptionist and guard who opened the door for me in the early morning!

Nice hostel with a good atmosphere and very friendly, helpful staff. The girls on reception had no problem helping us with tours, directions and even booked our flights for us. The food was pretty good here too, theres a liitle chill out area and pool and table tennis. Landy, Mary and Jennifer we're so helpful and all have great English which is a bonus in China. Recommend staying here any day.
