Very helpful staff! Great rooftop to spend some time reading or chatting with other travelers or drink your free beer ;)
The wasn't much atmosphere and the staff were fairly moody and didn't smile. However the dorm rooms were so cosy and nice and clean! Everything felt really homely. I highly suggest you go here! Really nice place and tour was great
Great atmosphere, nice rooms, enjoyed the bike tour! The only downside was the wifi which wasn't too bad in the day but useless at night. The info on hostelworld makes it sound easy to find others for a Tibet tour but I gave up. If you want to book a tour it's better to contact them in advance so they can find others. The permit takes 3 -5 days if you enter by train (much longer for plane) and train tickets sell out because of ticket touts. All this makes it hard to be spontaneous.
I live in Chengdu and just dropped by this hostel to have fun for a night. Staff was kind and passionate (whereas the cat lying on the desk was asleep). The building itself is really old but timeless, feels really comfy. 4 mixed dorm is rather small but fully air-conditioned. The shared showroom was a bit of a turnoff. Other than that, i really enjoyed this hostel!
I LOVE this hostel! Although you share the bathroom & showers with the other guests, the facilities are clean and not smelly, so it's actually not bad at all. The staff can speak great English and are always willing to help & quite knowledgable about all tourist attractions in the area!
Showers have mold and are in need of scrubbing with magic eraser/magic sponges to make them look better.

Fun hostel with a cool layout and a really cool hang out spot in the back garden. My only complaint is the internet was pretty spotty, especially during the evening. Also, only the bedrooms have AC; Chengdu is a very humid city in the summer and it can get a little uncomfortable in the lounge areas if you don't like the humidity. Other than that, great hostel and would stay here again.
Perfect hostel for anybody who wants to travel in or from Chengdu.
Nice hostel. Free beer at check-in. Nice, clean beds (with curtains). Affordable food. The atmosphere is very chilled out. The Wi-Fi, though, needs to improve. Highly recommended.
The information from the trip advisors at the hostel has been very beneficial!
Although we booked a private room with mix hostel, we have been told on our arrival that we have to stay at flip flop lounge. so we cannot assess the mix hostel, but flip flop was nice. however, the booking procedure needs to be reviewed immediately! be careful...
One of the best hostel when I was staying!
