Welcome to Chester Street! We are fine after the earthquake & all facilities are operating. We are a wonderful colourful kiwi villa with a warm atmosphere and personal friendly service set in a quiet residential street only 8 minutes walk from the city centre.
Sunny verandah, gardens, fresh herbs, sunflowers and inside we have full kitchen facilities, lounge, free phone and cheap internet. Also available, a selection of budget sleeper vans and cars for sale.

A very clean, well-appointed hostel in a quiet residential area that's still quite central and close to amenities. The house was colorful and cheerful looking, and the resident cat made it seem homey. Staff were pleasant, but not as friendly, outgoing and helpful as some I've met at other hostels. There was a common area, but not much of a social atmosphere. Overall, a nice place to stay in a good location, but not much opportunity to connect with guests or staff.
