A group of three of us stayed in the "guest house" that is detached from the house. It was wonderful!! It's small but clean, up-to-date, and overall nice! It has a small kitchen, a futon that turns into a bed, a full bathroom and an upstairs loft that sleeps two people. Another benefit is great WiFi! The metro station is a 5-10 minute walk away which is very convenient when traveling into the city and to the airport. Overall this was a great place to stay, I wish we stayed longer!

Staying at Chez Godo was more like a home stay than a hostel. It was shoulder season and we had a large private room upstairs for the price of two beds in a 6-bed dorm. Godo is very friendly and speaks excellent English, so we were able to have many conversations and to meet friends who dropped by occasionally. He seems to be a natural at being a great host. Excellent wifi reliability. Close to Metro. 30 min. to the heart of Paris.

Godo is the best! My girlfriend and I stayed 5 night and would gladly do it again! I would recommend that you do a Google map search of his location so you know what you're getting into. He is in the city of Villejuif which is outside of Paris. He is a short walk from a major metro stop and it takes about 30 minutes and costs about 1,30 Euro to get into the city. There are several grocery stores in his area, and many banks.
