We liked this place very much! The room was like a little appartment and was clean and tidy. It was a bit farther away from the city centre but it was easy to get there with metro. There were shops and a bakery nearby so we hac everything we needed. The host is most welcoming and gave good instructions for both arriving and leaving the place. A lovely place that we will return to on our next trip!

Although we did not lose anything, it would be better that rooms can be locked from inside and outside as well as comfort room (toilet and bathroom). Godofroy, the owner is quite helpful and he always sees to it that he talks to us everyday when we are home from all our wanderings in Paris. He even brought us to the market and he and my wife cooked our last dinner in Paris. His daughter also joined us for the dinner before we left. It was a very nice experience.

Godo's was a great respit from the hostels we'd become used to whole travelling around Europe. We stayed in his guesthouse, a small converted garage with a loft bed and a pull-out that slept 4 total, with a small kitchen and fridge and some cooking tools. Godo himself was very warm and welcoming, he even walked us to his favourite Indian restaurant after we'd asked for a recommendation, and introduced us to the proprietor. All and all it was a great stay, close to the metro. Worth every penny.

My two friends and i stayed at this wonderful hostel for a week and liked it so much stayed again a month later. The owner of Chez Godo, is a funny, charismatic man who adds to the atmosphere of good times and chillout. Whether you are a family or a bunch of young adults Chez Godo is the number one hostel in Paris!

Perfect place.Godo is the best french on the world

The host is the most welcoming and friendly person in France and makes you feel like home in the charming squeaky house at once. The life you experience here might not be very typically french or parisian, but what is? The location in Villejuif is a little inconvenient, since it takes a long time to go to the centre of Paris, but if this matters to you, you are likely not even considering this place. The garden is wonderful and it has frogs.

Godo was a fantastic host! We arrived late and he was very accommodating. He shared his dinner with us and helped us get settled. He speaks very good English and is very informative, sharing what he knows about Paris. Godo's home had a very good feeling to it, like you lived in France everyday and that's where you belonged. It is very quaint, like a little bit of the country enclosed by the surrounding suburbs. Highly recommended!

Staying at Godo's was the best decision we made! It was like staying at our friend's place. It's exactly what we were looking for (me and my mom). The location was great - a beautiful, clean house in a quiet, friendly, neighbourhood. A 3 minute walk from the metro station made it easy to get downtown. For food, the market was nearby to get fresh, local food, and the kitchen was always available. I'd definitely recommend this place with no hesitations!!!

Imagine having a french friend in Paris and you're staying at his place. Well, that's what it felt like at Chez Godo. From Villejuif to down-town with the subway it takes nearly 50 min. But for Paris' distances it's still fine. The price is also alright. The guest rooms have a nice view to the garden and both receive the graceful and warm morning sunlight. When the weather is fine, you can have a relaxed breakfast outside in the garden. Chez Godo has a good place in my Paris vacations memories.
