Good price and good location, facilities were good too, but the bathroom was a little bit dirty and not much privacy in there.
Practical and well located. Cool staff.
Stayed 3 nights in a twin private. Good location near lots of bars and food. Just a few blocks form the Train. Clean bathrooms and nice kitchen with plenty of room for your stuff. Staff very helpful. The only CONS are - The room was short on outlets and had very thin walls and you could hear everyones doors slamming all night. Would highly receommend. This will be where I stay whenever I visit Chicago.
One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at, very clean, great atmosphere and the staff (specifically Melanie) was simply amazing.
No colour whatsoever needs some real hostel charm and atmosphere. Besides the sterility very good
It's what it is. Great location, great staff and fun atmosphere! This hostel has a good mixture of young and older guest population. I would recommend it to anyone considering a visit to Chicago!
The only thing that bothered me was the signs around the hostel telling people not to use hostel websites like hostleworld.com because of the "reservation fee" and therefore this hostel charged us a "tax" when we arrived to up the price. This website allowed me to find this Chicago hostel so it shouldn't discourage people to use websites like these.
Amazing, amazing, amazing!! Highly recommend! Gorgeous staff in a gorgeous part of Chicago! Keep up the fabulous work guys!!
Join the Jazz Blue experience trip.....it is really enjoyable....
Really cool hostel, friendly staff, good breakfasts and free dinner available! Stayed in the basement and had no cellular reception (only down side) but good wifi connection. Would stay again.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. We needed another blanket in our room and also needed to have the heat adjusted, and the manager helped with both. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. Only complaint was that the men's bathroom wasn't clean.

AMAZING HOSTEL! Really organized, spacious, clean, a big kitchen with everything you may possibly need, delicious breakfast with fruits, cereal, bagels, tea, coffee and more, awesome common area, fun and mostly free activities every night, nice staff, many computers available for guests 24h with free printing, close to subway and bus lines. Bedroom is really spacious as well, clean, lockers available (bring your own lock), bed is confortable. I definately recommend this hostel. FANTASTIC STAY!
The bedrooms are nice and the bed was good. The location is not the best but it's near from a metro line so it's help a lot your locomotion to the city center. A well equipped kitchen ,the staff was very helpful, free wifi and a good breakfast included.I recommend this hostel for who is staying on Chicago.

Great location, but maybe a bit too many rules?
Located in a neighborhood with great charm and within walking distance of the zoo and plenty of great restaurants. Staff were very helpful with advising on events and locations in the area.
Had a fantastic stay here. Although the weather outside was freezing, the hostel was toasty warm inside. Though I have to say - the antique radiators can make a bit of noise, it's definitely worth it for the awesome heat they generate. Hostel was clean throughout, staff were very helpful with directions and local recommendations, and the organised activities are well worth taking part in, particularly the trip to the Blues clubs.
Everything was well arranged. Staff were really friendly as well, truly made for a pleasant stay in Chicago.
This was definitely the cleanest hostel I've EVER been in. The staff is motivated and interested in keeping everything in constant tip-top shape and also made me feel very welcome and comfortable. I came into town for an audition, so I was kind of concerned about whether the noise level was going to be too high for me to get a good night's sleep but things were very quiet. People still partied hard, but they went to the bars after 10:00.
