Staff was really friendly! Hostel was really clean! There were even activities planned each day for guests to participate in if they chose which is great.

This was by far the best hostel i've stayed in! The rooms were huge, very clean, with enough lockers for everyone in the room. I was in a room with an ensuite but there was also 2 other mirrors and a sink in the room itself. The hostel itself is beautifully located, minutes walk from anything you need. The staff were so friendly and there are both day and evening events that the staff run. Only downside is breakfast finished at 9:30 which is too early if you're a partier like me!

It was an awesome hostel! Very clean, people were nice, and the common area was a party! Probably 10 min walk to red line, making it easy to explore. Close to a few bars too. Definitely recommended

Great hostel in good location. Excellent for meeting people and good for people travelling by themselves to meet people.

It looks like newly built hostel, facilities are really good & clean.

Even though the hostel is not downtown, it's in a great location. This hostel exceeds all other hostels. They have great common areas, tkitchen, pub crawl, and even grand piano. If you're travelling alone you will meet people very quickly and have a ball. The cleaning lady is very friendly too. This hostel is better than some hotels!!!! It's a must place to stay at.

i thought that the staff was pretty nice and it was nice and friendly. Plus, the cleaning was excellent.

I honestly can't say anything negative about Chicago Getaway Hostel! The dorms and public areas were kept extremely clean. The hostel is located in a lovely neighbourhood and all attractions are easily accessible via the L. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I attended the pub crawl, the NYE party and the blues night. All nights were so fun and a great way to meet other people. I was impressed that the hostel made such an effort for their guests to socialise. I would definitely stay again!

With the central location and the fresh renewed rooms that's one of the best hostels I've ever been. The getaway offers tonnes of activities so even when you don't know what to do, you'll never be bored. For people who likes to go shopping it's dangerous because within 5 min or even less is a big shopping street. So be carefull. For people who likes to party or simply hang out in a bar they are at the right place. Several bars are reachable in only a few minutes by foot.

Cool hostel in nice part of the city, a bit further away from downtown which was nice. Plenty of bars and places to eat close by and a friendly place to stay.

Very friendly hostel in the suburbs of Chicago. The staff especially were all very friendly and fun- especially the lovely lady who does breakfast and cleans the rooms (I'm so sorry, I forget her name, but she was fabulous). Nice cafes and restaurants are just down the road, buses into town are easy, everything was very good. Thanks guys. :)

Chicago Getaway Hostel is clean and trendy, and the staff is always willing to help out with silly questions. Stayed there twice and will definitely be back, it's in the perfect location for getting a taste of true Chicago. Also the price is amazing!

this hostel is just amazing and worth the perhaps "litte bit extra" money. its so stylish and clean and cosy, that you feel like coming home after a long day in the cold streets of chicago. especially now during christmas-time. the stuff is so inredibly friendly and they take care of everything imediately. breakfast is fantastic! fantastic location with connections to brown,purple and red CTA line which will take you about everywhere you wanna go. definately a place to stay and to come back to!

This hostel is the best I have ever seen and this was my third visit there and each year the hostel has improved. The staff this trip was so helpful and friendly, the hostel was clean and the lobby, common areas and the kitchen were so impressive.

I was disappointing that free saturday dinner wasn't served anymore from 6:30pm despite official dinner hours are 6-8pm. :(
