Great hostel at a beautiful location. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean. We would definitely stay at this hostel next time.

Positive: I enjoyed this hostel a lot. Everyone was nice and the common areas we enjoyable. Great kitchen. They have nightly events which was great for meeting people. Negative: There were limited outlets and the bed I was in was falling apart. The metal ladder fell on me twice and the floor a few times waking up everyone in the 12 person dorm room. Hot water went out on my day of leaving so I was an hour late checking out, but I was not charged for the inconvienence.

Very nice place, but also very big, which doesn't make the atmosphere very cozy. But cool place with helpful staff, and a nice and decent breakfast.

Our stay at the getaway hostal was awesome!! Walking distance to anything and everything you need or want!! We are definitely staying there again.

My room was on basement. There were no signal. Wifi neither. A Restroom only in your room is available.

I don't know if there is map for Chicago in the hostel, I think it would be even better if it is offered.

Being a 69 year old senior citizen made the upper bunk a nightmare. The ladders were not meant to be climbed in bare feet. Do you have a policy for the handicapped? I know your geared to the young but other than this shortfall, the stay was very pleasant.

We were checked in by DJ on reception, he was really friendly and chatty. Really nice guy! Breakfast was very good, maybe could add some juice. The pub crawl was well organised and we had alot of fun. It was a bit confusing at first trying to find the hostel. Would definitely stay here again.

Chicago Getaway Hostel truly lived up to what others have said about it. Clean, bright and so pleasant. The location is wonderful and I was impressed by the landscaping-at a hostel-wow. Such a cool place to stay. I'll return when in Chicago.

There is just something about this hostel that keeps bringing me back. So easy to meet other guests, the place is clean and tidy, great social areas, plenty of hostel based activities to do and the hostel staff are amazing. Sierra & DJ lead the coolest pub crawls and Jason and Mat are exceptional hosts. Rooms & Beds make you feel welcome along with huge lockers to store all your stuff. Close to bars to clubs, and a short walk to the nearest 'L' stop! can't wait to go back.
