Had a good time staying in this hostel. I'm not sure if it was just when I was there but it appears that the main clientele are school trips and older people. That can be a bit of an issue if you're looking for people in their 20's to spend time with. On the whole I found the staff to be very good. Occasionally staff could come across as a little patronising / disintersted, but this was not true of all of them at all. Clean, modern, really nice part of town. Quieter non-party hostel.

Overall great hostel! If you are hesitant about staying here, don't be! It was a great atmosphere, reminded me of some of the hostels I have stayed in throughout Europe. The activities room is excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful! Enjoy!!

It was fine but when I payed for the room I ended up paying about 10 dollars more then it had said that I owed on my booking receipt (both in US dollars so it wasn't just the conversion to Canadian). There was also some weirdness where they accidently charged my card 3 times and didn't tell me about it just refunded it but then my bank ended up charging me like 45 dollars in fees and I had to contest them. That was annoying.

The hostel was in a pretty good location and as soon as we got there, the front desk person was very nice to us. She was fun and also gave us good tips on where to go and a good coffee place nearby ;) Thanks again!

Great hostel. Great area. Really good staff especially DJ on nights. And Jessica ( I think that's right) in afternoons. Can't fault the joint.

Great location in Lincoln Park easy walk to the zoo or to a Metra line to go anywhere. Great bar scene in the area if you would like to go out in the evening. The hostel is extremely clean and well kept with needing a key card to get past the lobby and in to your rooms (also to get in to the building in the evening). Really good free breakfast every morning. Only small complaints the bathrooms were cleaned with too much bleach.

A very big hostel, with lots of space. Fun staff, who put a lot of heart in to making you feel welcome. Lots of bathrooms and toilets, (so if youre shy like me, and like to have a pooh away from ears distance, you can ) :) Big grand piano. Theres always someone in a hostel who can play, so this is great fun in the evening with a beer or three. If you want alchahol, turn left outside the hostel, and then right. Theres a spirits shop that does nice wines, etc. Cheaper/ closer than supermarket!

This is easily the best hostel I have ever been too. The location is in a beautiful neighbourhood, but a little bit of a distance from downtown. Everything else, Atmosphere is great as there are always people playing the piano and the guitar. Facilities are all brand new. Amazing kitchen, amazingly helpful and very friendly staff. I even had a friend who refuses to stay in hostels come with me. She loved it and thought it was better than hotels.

Very clean. There is a street of restaurants and bars within 5 mins walking distance. The neighborhood is very nice and felt safe too. They have limited parking on-site for an additional fee or you can park on the street a little further for free. Pub crawl every Thursday and Saturday. Continental breakfast provided but don't get your hope too high.

The staff were always helpful in answering questions or requests. The hostel was clean, well maintained. The location was ok, I quickly figured out how to use the cta to get around but the neighbourhood was safe. many restaurants and stores in the neighbourhood if you didnt want to go to far. I would definitely stay again. Free internet a plus!! Maps in lobby need updating please. Bunks could be a big higher, could not sit up in lower bunk and I am on the shorter side. Very friendly staff.

This hostel was amazing. I had such a good time. Even though on a map it looks a bit out of the way, the area which it is in, Lincoln Park, is fantastic - it is the real Chicago. Best staff out of any hostel I've been to.
