Great Hostel!! They have everything you need, I was very impressed. The facilities are great. It is huge and the hostel events make it easy for you to socialize with other travellers. It is a bit loud but either than that, it is great and I recommend staying there if you are in Chicago.

A bit far away from downtown, a bit noisy at night, and everything else is good.

The buffet breakfast was a highlight at its value! Love the hotel style security key card too! Good hostel that I had even recommend to the local taxi driver who sent me to the airport. He said he will definitely telling more people about 'Getaway'!

I've stayed at over 20 different hostels in as many countries and this was the best by a country mile, the service when you walk in the door is first class. The sleeping areas are quite, the lounge areas are great fun, super easy to meet other travellers, the cooking area is proper kitchen, with everything you need. Free dinner on select nights, free breakfast every morning, pub tours twice a week. easy distance to other bars and cafes also. 10/10

Great hotel in a nice area. Beds are a bit average, I am a bit taller and could not fit on the bunk bed without my feet hanging off the end... Showers are also a bit cramped but overall the hostel was great.

I am waked up by roommates again and again. This is the only point which is not satisfied. Others are much wonderful.

It's only a short walk to both a train stop and Lincoln Park. It is also located very close to DePaul University. The area seemed very safe. There is a small lot in the back fit parking at 25 dollars a night and your room key also gives you access to the building. It was clean and while the rooms themselves didn't offer any amenities beyond a bed and Bathroom-we stayed in the 8 person dorm-the common Areas were nice and well kept. The free breakfast in the morning consisted of fruit, sine Cereal

Excellent hostel in a nice area of Chicago not far from downtown with plenty of bars and restaurants. Pub crawls and activities are great fun. Would definitely recommend this place

Overall a great hostel, I would definitely go back again! Price was awesome for a US big city. Staff is decent and helped answer questions and offer recommendations. Location was alright, about a 10-15 min metro ride to downtown, though a rough hour walk. But there are some awesome restaurants within a 10 min walk.

This really was one of the best hostels I've stayed at - incredibly friendly staff (especially the lady from Michigan with the glasses), really clean, lovely bedroom, powerful showers, free towel, free breakfast, perfect location (next to the station and on the blue line to the airport), and an amazing roof balcony. I'm gutted to have left and if I do come back to Chicago without a doubt I will come back here. Thank you!

Very nice hostel. Very clean and a lot of facilities (wifi, kitchen,...). The rooms are simple but large enough for everyone. The bathroom may sometimes be a bit far from the bedroom but it helps waking up in the morning. the music in the hall is awesome and the location is perfect either you want to hit bars and jazz clubs or if you just want to visit the city especially dowtown (the loop). Perfect for young people travelling !

Best hostel I've stayed at. Clean, well run. Good staff. Facilities are all in good condition and there's actually a lot to the free breakfast. Neighbourhood is good too, lots of restaurants. Will definitely stay there again next time I'm in Chicago.
