Chicago Hostel is a super-friendly and helpful Ecuadorian run hostel conveniently located in a neighborhood considered a Historical Colonial district; our neighborhood enjoys a good level of safety and security with a police station just to two blocks from our hostel. Privileged location since 2003, it is very close to the heartbeat of Quito within walking distance of major points of interest. Also close to a main street with bus connection to the rest of the city as Equator, Teleferico, bus stations, etc.
Chicago hostel was founded in the year 2003 in a modern building with modern structures and solid bases. This place was created to be a hosting business since the beginning. Our rooms and bathrooms are not improvised so they have enough ventilation and natural light and also the water pressure system and water temperature system were created to assist large numbers of people. We never improvised; everything we have done has been well planned.
Chicago Hostel works hard to provide delicious breakfast, directions, transportation, advices, a good sleep and everything else that a traveler needs in Ecuador to start; this is a great place to get started on your journey. Do not expect five star service, do expect people who will try hard to help you find your way around and get you there safely.
This is a great hostel to stay, great atmosphere and lots of info available within hostel, Spanish and English speaking staff, laundry service reasonably priced and an amazing breakfast which you can enjoy it on our covered top terrace accompanied by a wonderful view of Quito, WIFI signal, a computer with internet, guest kitchen and really good music.
Owned and managed by education, hospitality and adventure tourism pros and a great time with this crew are guaranteed.

A family owned business. Nothing to really complain about. I paid a little to much, but that was because I booked through the internet. I met some great people in the hostel and we spended the nights playing cards and having drinks. Don't buy your beers at the reception, they are expensive 2USD and not really fresh. There is a little and friendly mercado next to the hostel. It is not to far from the old center, but beware at night, the area is not the safest.

We accep only cash –All payments are in advance -We have a no refund policy -DirecTV at lobby/bar -WIFI in Deluxe rooms, Lobby/bar and top terrace -Free smoke building -Bilingual staff (Spanish/English) -We have some traffic noise, most people does not worry but light sleepers may want to bring earplugs or ask for rooms with windows to the corridor -Covered Top Terrace with full guest kitchen, tables, chairs and a stereo for your use -Linens, towels, body soap are provided -Please, bring your own padlock if you would like to use the general security lockers -The time of check-in is from 2pm to 2:00 a.m. (there is some flexibility as long as you communicate us in advance) -Check-out time:11am -Sorry, but passengers arriving before 8:30am must need a booking for the night before -Sorry, but passengers arriving between 8:30 am and 2pm can use our luggage storage service
