This hotel have strict rules, like check out at 11am, and you better not try to stay in the comunity area and use the wifi after that.

Chicago Hostel is nearby from CENTRO HISTORICO and the location is good to go everywhere in Quito. Quietly atmosphere! Staff is nice and help with directions and sugestions about places to know and how can you enjoy the city safely. The building has a beautiful place for having breakfast or preparing some food in the kitchen, enjoying a wonderful view! Good place for resting in Quito!

It's close to a lot of the Old City attractions, but there are no cafes and few restaurants in the area. The staff was very nice, especially the guy that serves breakfast. One of the best hostels in the area for sure, though the neighborhood isn't very nice and is noisy.

So this hostel is divided in two contiguous buildings that only have connection through the terraces or the street! The only place where there's internet is in the lobby which closes at 10pm, so if you wish to use internet later than that be sure to be sitting in the stairs in the building next door. Plus, my private "suite" was facing the street which meant that sleeping was a nightmare due to the continuous noise of people and cars. Not planning to come back.

We stayed at this hostel for two nights. The people were friendly, the double private room we were in was quite large with a big window. The breakfast included was basic, but great to count on. We met some other people staying there, but it was pretty quiet all in all and th

Staff was soo helpful and nice! Location not bad if you want to tour around old town but not near the night life and trendy restaurants. Only a very short cab ride away tho!

The staff at Chicago Hostal were very friendly and gracious. They let me borrow an alarm clock since mine didn't work very well. And also Ms. Tatiana Tamayos was very helpful in coordinating my tours and trips in Ecuador including city tours and surrounding areas near Quito, Amazon tour and the Galapagos Island cruise. They arranged all the taxi pick-ups during my stay at Chicago Hostal.

would be nice if luggage storage was alowed past 2pm the day of departure Sugestion!!! You could charge say 2.50 per bag and get extra business That would be good customer service What you are practicing doesn't make sense! Rediculous idea to get a room for extra night just to put your bag in it

The customer service at Chicago Hostel was exceptional. I left a bag of electronics and chargers in a taxi on the way to the airport, and they went out of their way to find my lost things and ship them to me. Most hostels would not help with something like this to simply avoid the trouble, but Hostel Chicago was happy to put in the extra time and effort to help someone who only stayed for one night.
