I was thrilled with the Chicago Hostel. The family owners were incredibly friendly, helpful, kind, considerate, and thoughtful. They each went way out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted. The room was immaculate and the figured sheets even matched the pastel paints of the room. The lobby was cozy with comfortable couches, a bigscreen tv, and convenient with inexpensive bottled drinks for sale and tour information. Breakfast on the roof terrace was nice. Terrific!!

We read a lot of negative comments but decided to stay here anyway. The room was clean and comfortable. The hostel is more like a hotel though. The communal lounge area was right in front of reception and didnt really feel welcome to socialize there. The kitchen is on the top floor and was fine, however the area gets wet when it rains so you can't socialize there either. If the top area was enclosed in with a couch etc it would be fantastic. All areas shut at 10-30 pm so off to bed it was.Not fun

Great! Great! Great! Staff very helpful in all ways. Can\'t say enough about how much I enjoyed my trip to Equator and certainly my hostel experience added to enjoyment.

This hotel have strict rules, like check out at 11am, and you better not try to stay in the comunity area and use the wifi after that.

For the most part I had a great time in Hostel Chicago. My room and bathroom were nice and clean and I had a great view of the Basilica. I got free breakfast, but that\'s ending soon. It was also really close to the Ecovia station, which was very convenient. The only issue that I had with it was that while I had internet the first few days, I didn\'t after the fourth day, and never got it again. They did have a communal computer, but you had to wait for other people, and it ran really slowly.

Chicago Hostel is nearby from CENTRO HISTORICO and the location is good to go everywhere in Quito. Quietly atmosphere! Staff is nice and help with directions and sugestions about places to know and how can you enjoy the city safely. The building has a beautiful place for having breakfast or preparing some food in the kitchen, enjoying a wonderful view! Good place for resting in Quito!

It's close to a lot of the Old City attractions, but there are no cafes and few restaurants in the area. The staff was very nice, especially the guy that serves breakfast. One of the best hostels in the area for sure, though the neighborhood isn't very nice and is noisy.
