Loved our stay here. Very welcoming and attentive staff. New and reasonably priced bar with views of the lake. Sign up for their dinners, they are amazing! Don't stay here if you want to party all night, they are heavily based around outdoor activities which they offer exclusive discounts for hostel guests only. 2 huge kitchens to use if you're trying to maintain a budget and plenty of amenities as well. Make sure you climb the volcano, a little expensive but well worth it!!

It seems to be a very chilling hostel, but the atmosphere isn't that good because of the staff. We wanted to do an asado (BBQ) with some frinds from the hostel we met on our trip up to Villarica. We were about 10 people from the hostel and 2 from the partner hostel who we invited as well. We used some (1/4) of a toilet paper roll to do the fire. Staff:"You can't use that it belongs to the hostel it is unrespectful and the two from the partner hostel need to leave now." Traverlerunfriendly!

We really appreciate feedback here, so thanks for taking the time to write a review. Indeed in high season we do not allow outside guests to visit after dark in order to maintain security. We provided cardboard to start your bbq and indeed toilet paper is for another purpose. Your attitude towards staff and other guests was extremely forceful, and we actually received complaints from other guests about this behaviour. Kindly, some of your group of 10 apologised to us the following day. Overall I would say that we are particularly traveler friendly, as we are backpacker owned/staffed and operated. We are trying to have the best hostel we can. I´m sorry you didn´t enjoy your experience here.

Everything is good about this hostel! Clean, good kitchen (they have 2), good saff and location. We stayed in a private which is the treehouse and it was awesome!

Best place to stay in Pucon - No question. Location, Staff and Atmosphere all some of the best I've ever seen. Right on the lake with lots of common areas. Great place for meeting people of all ages and backgrounds. Front desk folks know about everything in the area and give solid advice, and often have connections to activities that other hostels don't. Dorm rooms were clean and efficiently run with plenty of locker space. Room above the kitchen is a little noisy though.

Chili Kiwi knows how to run a true hostel for backpackers. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeble and always ready to help out. With great facilities and a beautiful lakefront location with a view of the volcano what else could you want.

Wonderfull place to stay, in an excellent location and with really good facilities. We stayed in the tree house, which was absolutely lovely! The huge garden is really great for hanging around. Lot of bathrooms, well equiped kitchens.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The staff were so friendly and super helpful. The facilities itself are also great, with a cool outdoor kitchen area and when I left they were in the process of building a patio out front that will be amazing for any season in Pucon really, not just summer! Can't wait to come back.

Chili Kiwi is an absolute gem. From the knowledgable staff giving us the lay of the land, to the fun and funky facilities which included kayaks to rent, to the unbeatable lakeside location, this was easily the best hostel I've stayed at.

Everything was great except the showers water temperature would go from very hot to freezing every two minutes. The staff was awesome and helped us plan for all the activities in pucon! I would recommend to stay here!

Definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Location and facilities are great, but its the staff that make this place awesome. They make the breakdown of everything to do in Pucon so easy and effortless. Atmosphere here is a true hostel vibe, lots of solo travellers interested in meeting new people. Couldn't recommend enough!!

Super social hostel right on the lake and close to town. The backyard is beautiful as well. Staff is really helpful with activities and anything you need! Its an especially great hostel to stay at if you're traveling alone.

Extremely informative staff with every bit of local knowledge you might wish to know, great facilities in a location on the lakefront to match and one of those ideal hostel atmospheres that could quite easily find you getting 'stuck' here for double the amount of time you initially booked.

This is my second time at Chili Kiwi and I love it just as much, if not more, than the first time. The owners and workers really care about your overall experience, the set up of the hostel is perfect for relaxing and socializing (big tables, hang out areas, outside picnic tables and logs, etc), not to mention the location is perfect (both close to town and on the edge of a lake giving the perfect view). I'm sure this won't be my last time here, can't seem to stay away!

Best hostel Ive been in ever! The staff are very helpful and give recommendations about tons of things to do in Pucon. You can also book places for attractions from the hostel which is very useful beacuse then they just pick you up from the hostel :) In addition, this is by far the cleanest hostel I have ever been in, there are tons of bathrooms and they are all very clean. The atmosphere here is great and the location is amazing - you are literally gonna live on the lake here.
