Good location (at the Transit Centre), great hostel - nice terrace with view on the river and the city (nice at night). Unfortunately really expensive - first we paid 69 for a double room and as we wanted to stay three more nights the price was 79 per night! But all in all a great hostel :)

The rooftop area is great, but no one at the hostel was very friendly, including the staff. It made the atmosphere pretty depressing.

the rooms are definitly to small. With 4 luggages in the room there was no change to walk through. and there were no shelfes or something else. the kitchen was really dirty and they had no dishes.

a great hostel, walking distance from everything, rooms were a bit small especially with everyone's bags as well but people are nice. i arrived on the night of the free bbq which was awesome loads of food. planning to return to this hostel when i go back to brisbane.

By far the best hostel i have stayed in for my year in Australia. I booked for one night and loved it so much ended up staying for another 3 nights and got some free internet! very easy to make friends on the terrace, a big group invited me on a night out with them and to hang out. The BYO is brilliant, no need to hide your alcohol like in other hostels and makes it easier to socialize with the other guests. Will definitely go back! its like a home away from home!

Mediocre. Some decent people, some shitheads, a real mix. Caught someone stealing food from me one morning, reported it, and the guy was still there the evening after despite the reception staff saying they'd kick him out. Far too expensive considering its quality.

My favorite hostel in Australia so far. Its really clean and the staff are so friendly. I really liked the outdoor area, it was fun at night and you can see all over the city and river. I would definitely stay here again!

the room was very small for 5 people, didnt know where to put my stuff. i couldnt really enjoy my stay but maybe it was just a unlucky day, cause the kitchen and the common area looked really nice.

There are much better hostels just 5 mins walk away. Beds are much more comfortable, hostel is much cleaner and you don't get charged for everything.. all this at the same price. Would not book at Chill again

The roof terrace doesn't give a great view of the river but its relaxing. Also no pool if you were thinking there was one from the pictures! It's pretty much in the city so expect the traffic and the locations good if you want shopping and dining on south bank forget about the beach if you staying here.

I only spent two nights at Chill so would not be able to say much more than I felt it was a fairly average hostel (in comparison to other hostels that really made an impression in a very short time) The room was OK (8 bed dorm) however I spent most of the night with air con blowing in my face - when I asked one of my roomies if we could turn it off she said we could not, and said they had stuffed the other air con ducts with bags to stop it! not the worst backpackers, not the best . . .

Chill is a very nice hostel. It's pretty big, so if you're travelling alone, it's a bit hard to meet new people. They have plenty of things to help you relax, like table pool and excellent movies.. Really clean hostel, maybe a bit impersonal.

Worse backpackers since we are in Australia ! Small room (in our dorms, we didn't know where to put our luggages), small and warm bathrooms, bad smells, lazy team. To much air conditioning in the dorms during the night. It's really not a usefull hostel (for example, the kitchen is closed between 2 and 3 pm for cleaning ! Their key "card" room doesn't work well, don't be afraid to stay 10 minutes front of your door's room !). We just enjoyed the roof top. That's all.
