chill backpackers was surely one of the best times i had in australia. all the staff were friendly, helped with any problems and allways got people involved in any events or activities they were doing. the rooms were spotless as well as the bathrooms. With a movie room it topped it off because if you ever wanted to relax one day you could with 5 movies playing dayly. i would deffinetly come back again well for the 3rd time any way because you never can get enough of the fun and laffters here.

free BBQ means 1 piece of sausage, not really worth, especially if some "selected" people can eat as much as they want - better find a nice pub in town!!

Very good hostel!! Only negatives were that the wifi wasn't working when we were there and the kitchen was a bit small. However, the friendly staff, clean rooms, good location all made up for this. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Brisbane.

The staff were terrible. The Irish guy on reception was unbelievably unhelpful and was more interested in speaking to the other staff who were going for a night out. The other staff werent much better. Emma was the only good staff member. Due to the awful service from the staff our group would not only not consider the hostel but would tell others to avoid it.

Nice and clean but lacked atmosphere. Good place to stay if you are looking to relax but not if you want to make new friends etc as their is no entertainment.

Relatively central to city centre, clean to the point of OCD, friendly staff, beside Roma Street Transit, great hostel to stay in if a little claustrophobic at times.

The hostel is named Chill backpackers but it is not that chill if i would say. Everywhere signs about fines if you do this if you do that. After check out no facilities anymore available (kitchen etc.) Rooms are super small and no space to put your luggage. No possibility to open a window/door. Because it is so big.. no open athmosphere in the hostel.

Not a fantastic hostel but one of the better ones in Brisbane. My 5 man room was small and didn't have a locker but overall the hostel was a good place to meet people and the staff are friendly and helpful (and hot!)

they gave us the wrong room, "forgot" to let us in the car park, charged my credit card before our arrival for the full rate (we had intended to use a different card), had really uncomfortable beds, unorganized & unfriendly staff, dirty bathrooms, and average location. the only thing this place has going for it is the roof terrace.

Generally a very good hostel. Could maybe do with some form of soundproofing between the TV room and the outdoor bbq area.

It was a little farther from the bus station than we expected... good ten minute walk with all of of our luggage but still close. Everything was VERY clean in the hostel and that was much appreciated. Internet was very expensive though. All around, not bad at all.

Good location, incredibly clean hostel, with a good rooftop area. Although our room was quite small and bare, with one small stand of shelves on the other side of the room, for the purpose of our short stay and a place to sleep it was ok. A blanket rather than just a sheet would have been nice though. Would stay there again.

Cleanest hostel I have ever been...but my five bed female dorm didn't have much room to put luggage and there are no lookers in the room...roof terrace is nice, BBQ was okay (didn't expect to get more than one sausage and had baught additional stuff) Would definitly stay here again.

I had one night here & couldn't wait to leave. I was traveling by motorcycle & was glad to see they had secured garage parking. Though the staff wouldn't let me check-in until I had all the gear off my motorcycle & in their lobby. Rooms were cramped, mattresses uncomfortable, and kids getting drunk while screaming in the halls all night. The location was excellent near some great shops and the Roma St. train station. I say look at the several hostels on the same street for your stay.

Nice room (6bed female-only) on nice rooftop terrace but I can't speak for anything else. The female-only bathroom has terrific hair-dryers which is a big plus ! But the showers are pretty small... I've heard very good thing from my roomates

Hostel is very clean; permanent aircon in the sealed rooms can be a bit annoying but is generally welcome - as windows are sealed against the traffic outside. If you have a car, park outside the hostel on the street - there is parking there but it is very tight, though the staff are experts at getting cars out. Beautiful top deck with a view of the city.

Great location ( If you cross the bridge to the south banks you can get to the Art Galleries and Museum and also if you cross the road over to where the cinema is you get to the pubs and SunCorp Stadium) and was extremely clean. They take an additional effort to keep the place clean. (You could hear a vacuum cleaner running all the time (: ) The rooms were a bit too small for three people and wish there were some shelves and a hook(s)/ towel hanger(s) on the wall because there was none.
