First time I'd stayed in hostel and only there for 1 night so hard to comment, but if you are looking for value for money and somewhere basic to stay I'd suggest here. Only thing was air con didn't work in room and was so hot, had to sleep with door open.

Didnt enjoy this room at all. I moved after 2 nights. The rooms are more like closets. and the facilities(or lack of them) wern't great either. The Staff made you feel not really wanted. Not my favorite place at all. If you want to stay here then i recommend the YHA that is only 2 Minutes up the road!!

Beds nice&comfy, only one twin socket per room of 8. Windows don't open but were soundproof so no noise from traffic etc. Bathrooms clean, kitchen small, kinda no atmosphere. Net expensive. Air con kinda cold&unable to regulate itself. By day 4 had a nasty cough. Overall was quite happy.

Ok This place is very well placed. The staff are excellent. However...The of people staying here when we were here just ran up and down the corridor for three hours drunk from about midnight till 3 am. Its no good putting up signs saying please respect other people might be trying to sleep if you are not willing to do anything about it. There are camerea up and down the corridor so dont tell me the staff didnt see this going on. Utter rubbish and its a shame.

No character or atmosphere what so ever. The roof terrace was the only nice thing there!

Chill Backpackers is close to the Roma street station. Staff were friendly. The shared washrooms area is a bit cramped. But what do you expect in budget accomodation. I was amazed at how 3 beds were fit into a room designed for one at most. Small rooms mean no lockers in the rooms. I felt safe keeping my valuables in my bag in the room, however you can bring small valuables to the staff at the front desk. The rooftop terrace is cool, pool table, movies and book trade to occupy your time.
