very bad treatment and filthy

Very nice place. Perfect ambiance for breakfast with view over the sea. The only thing I regret is, that the room did not have a window letting in daylight.

Only stayed on night but this was a solid hostel! Has a chill bar across the way (which was somewhat empty the night I was there) and breakfast on the beach was fantastic (amazing view!). Decent value for the money, and the staff were very helpful.

Love it, It is a little paradise and I do not want to leave.

the hostel is the best for a stay in paraty. u walk just 5 min to the historical city center. u have breakfast and party on the beach but its still quiet in the night. the staff speaks really good english and can help u out with really everything.

Such a great place to stay. Right on the beach, and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Our room was mixed up because of an Internet issue so we were offered dinner which was so tasty right off the BBQ. The bar opposite is lovely and owned by the hostel. Breakfast is on the beach. There are a lot of wild dogs in Paraty but this wasn't an issue as we love dogs. Shower broke once but handy man nearby to fix straight away. Thanks to the girl who worked there she was lovely to us, very relaxing stay

Great hostel Location on the beach front is class. The workers (esp Ian) were so friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and with ensuite - always clean. 100% would stay again

For those who like to party and don't mind if they don't get a good nights' sleep...

Just beware that the staff do not speak English.

Wow Misti Chill got something right in Paraty, excellent chilled hostel with friendly engaging and helpful staff. Extended our stay by 100% of our original booking it was that good. Rooms get too hot at night with poor ventilation, which is my only criticism. Would stay here again for sure! Meals are shared with Geko Hostel next door out the front at a beachfront shack, very pleasant.

I didn´t like this hostel at all. When I arrived I got sheets with bloodstains on and the mattress was full of mould. The room was cramped and dirty. A room next door had bedbugs (not sure if mine had them as well).The staff wasn´t helpful at all and didn´t mention available trips once, you had to find out all the information by yourself. The only good thing with this hostel is the location and the breakfast, but other than that one of the worst hostels I´ve stayed in.

Really great relaxed atmosphere, right on the beach front. Live music at the beach bar made a perfect place to spend the evening and very helpful staff.

Great to be so close to the beach and to have a good breakfast right on the beach! The staff were REALLY helpful. The showers were hot. Unfortunately cleanliness was poor, especially bathroom, lockers were tiny, (not enough lockers in room for number of beds) and there was nowhere to put your gear without someone tripping over it. No windows in dorm so hot and stuffy. Loud music played at times making it difficult to relax or read especially as rooms opened straight off the communal area.
