Great location, relaxed atmosphere, very friendly staff and a bargain at double the rate. Badass owner.

I can't expect more for this price.

Great shower! But you shouldnt be to prude, showers are separate boxes but changingroom is behind a curtain. Washing bins and showers are in the same room as the toilet which has just a plastic wall around it. Everything very clean! Common room and kitchen too small for the number of people. Not really an ambience. Hostel is actually in a good place, 10-15 minute walk to the red square. Ask the staff for directions. Big lockers, but I found out that my lock actually didn't really work. Nice beds

Very friendly hostel. Extremely clean, and cozy in the cold Russian winter! They made me feel like at home. :)

Lovely staff and atmosphere; had a great time. Wifi was very good - fast! Kitchen was nice, enough space. Lockers in each room with a key (free of charge). The only "downside" I came across was the female bathrooms. The toilet area is very very small (but clean!). And there are 2 showers (with work perfectly!) in the general bathroom with a curtain that divides them from the rest of the bathroom. This meant there was not really any space to get dressed privately. Would stay again for sure.

I spent the end of the world in CHillax, and all I got was a can of canned food (as a price in contest).... and tonnes of great memories! thanks!

at peak times it is difficult to find a place in the common rooms

The staff were great not only at desk,also mixed with guests.Hostel was cleaned twice a day,close to Metro and not far to Red Square,highly recommend it.

The 14 persons dormitory is very VERY noisy : it should be good to check quietness is respected during the quiet hours (which wasn't the case while I was here). And please, PLEASE, stop the heating in this dormitory, it's too warm.

First of all to everyone - always look for DEALS when you travel. This place costs like 500 rub, but they had Mayan Apocalypse deal, where 2 nights were FREE!! (well, 1 ruble per night!). At first i was weary, but then read all the comments on here, and i have to say - all the good things they say are true! Really great hostel!

Chillax people are really nice and have a sense of humor - we stayed free for END OF WORLD nights! they also had like games and contests - i won a can of canned meat for post-apocalypse survival! as i said - great people, and great sense of humor in a pretty gloomy country...

you people have no idea! it was actually us at Chillax who saved the world from the Mayan Doom! :-) awesome weekend! need more crazy prophecies to party with you guys!

Stuff is very friedly and helpful. There is not that much space at the hostel, but still you can find almost all you need for normal stay: fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, towels, computers and etc. Its very nice that personnel every evenign organizing different events for guests. Location is very good, just 3 min to Tsvetnoy Bulvar metro stationl. And you can find very good bars and clubs in walking distance.

great position really

Good people, good place, maybe pretty far. Very, very bad the temperature inside. Because outside maybe was -6, inside was like 27, so was to hot! You cant bred, and must to sleep almost naked, then when you go out, you got a termal shock.

This hostel is a cool place. In the large living room you can relax really good. But when I was there a couple of American guys didn't understand that when you are living in a hostel, in a kind of community, that you have to clean your dishes. Maybe those guys have still their mother hat home cleaning after them. Besides that you meet a lot of cool people there and it is a good place for making connections. The staffs are really! friendly and helpful.

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in hostels all over Western, Northern, and Eastern Europe!

The hostel is clean, tidy and friendly and offers great value for money especially considering the central location, Chillax is very convenient for the Metro there is a local supermarket and Red Square is only a 15 minute walk away. However, the greatest attribute of Chillax is definitely the staff.. all the girls on reception are terrific. Fun, pleasant and helpful, certainly they offer as much attention and charm as any 5* hotel and definitely they are reason enough to return.
