Mouldiest room we've ever been in, after reclamations changed to a tiny room without windows and airconditioning, but cockroaches. Allthough this place is very cheap, it's not worth the money.

Hostel is fine - I was annoyed that they advertise a free airport transfer here on hostelworld and then when you go to book it they tell you its only free when you book through their website - then don't have it advertised on hostelworld then!!! The staff were really rude about this. Not enough showers and there are cockroaches in the kitchen. Otherwise its fine, quite clean, if you like to party the location is good.

A cleaning staff breaks in my room without knocking when I was putting a make up a bit late in the morning. Kitchen and lounge are too small for the number of ppl staying there. Breakfast was just plane serials, toast and eggs in spite of its eye-catching phrase "FULL" breakfast.

It's a shame that the attitude of a lot of the guests, (which in turn impacted on cleanliness) let the hostel down as it's in a fantastic location & with current refurbishments, could be a really lovely place. The staff are helpful & friendly & it's not too expensive. But the issues with cleanliness, & the behaviour of many of the hostel guests really let the place down. There is also a very severe problem with cockroaches, which needs to be treated. A shame for such a potentially great hostel.

Called for airport pickup at 1 pm, no answer, so didn't want to risk waiting if no one was at the desk until evening. Paid our own way. Gentleman at the front desk wasn't friendly or helpful. Required a $20./ pers. deposit. Nothing on the website about that. Were on our way home, plane was full, had to find a place to sleep. Only had $40. Not enough left to eat dinner! Wasn't told we had to rent dishes for brfst. Had to leave by 8 am but office opens at 8, so nearly stiffed on key deposit!!!

Good location - you are in the city centre in 15 min by walk. But Kings Cross is a party place so you might expect some loud music and people having fun around - if you require quiet place for sleeing, this wouldn´t be the best choice. Room and facilities were quite clean, we only saw few cockroaches in the room. Breakfast was little poor - you get to eat max 1 egg and 2 slices of cheese per person, but unlimited amount on toast-breads and corn-flakes.

Super location, super shower, spacious and clean. Staff was nice but not that helpful, very quiet. We were lucky to have a room with four people and a terrace!

Had a great stay at the hostel, loved playing drinking games before going out with the hostel group. The internet was painfully slow for wireless but if you are lucky to grab a computer by the front desk they are pretty fast. The new shower room is nice and they were working on renovating the courtyard while we were staying there. All in all If you like to relax and maybe watch a movie during the day then play fun drinking games and meet people at night its a great place to stay.

good place to stay, and bedding was clean and fresh. excellent washing and toilet facilities. (great shower) not in the best of areas seems a bit rough and ready in the surrounding streets, but a shorts walk and into circular quay and all was good again. certain individuals within the hostel (not staff) need to have more respect for others property, staff was very good tho.

looks like it is in the middle of a refurb, the parts which were done were really nice, such as some of the toilets/showers, however, most of the hostel was quite run down. put in a different dorm to what was booked, staff unhelpful, although they did eventually give us a partial refund.

the wifi service provided is really poor, it can load nothing if there are many people using it, it's quite inconvenient to visit the website for booking and online payment. There should be a shelf in the bathroom.

Pretty good location, good security, free internet (though painfully slow), free breakfast. Although the whole place was kind of tiny, a bit dirty (due to the work-for-accommodation people staying there). The bathrooms and showers were frustrating small, as well as unisex. Not a bad place to chose, and I think it's a relatively popular place in Sydney, but I have seen FAAAR nicer hostels for cheaper.

hey, i have stayed in a lot of hostels around the east coast of australia, but this one was the worst! It was not clean, the rooms were way too crowded and small. there was only one shower and one bathroom on each hallway, and it was not clean at all. The staff was not very helpful either...

Good Location and for the price you pay you get a lot (e.g. a very good breakfast!). the stuff could be friendlier and the hostel a bit cleaner.
