Unfotunately the courtyard was being refurbished when I was there and I was told it was the hub of the chili blue by fellow guests. Showers could do with more areas to store clothes whilst showering. Internet facilities good and xbox360 a good add. Good to have foxtel WITH movie and sport channels. Most hostels only have sport but have the on demand channels is good. This is a plus. Kitchen needs a freezer and working oven. Computers downstairs block hostelworld - joke!

its cheap but you just have 3 functionable showers, just two toilets and the atmosphere wasn't that good. my time there was boring.

It was ok. No wifi in rooms. Only at counter and even that doesn't work. I wasn't able to check my email and I wasted more than couple of hours twice. Claims to be in CBD, when it isn't..

small but cozy hostel. i like it and enjoy my stay especially the free breakfast with boiled eggs, cheese, toast, jam and cereal. in addition its cheap, $17 per night. furthermore, there are free internet and wifi. young crowd and party place at night and its next door to kings cross where all the restaurants, bars, coles and fitness first...

Hostel was a hole in the wall. Decent for the money. Private room had own t.v. which was nice. Internet service was super slow in the room. The bathrooms were disgusting. You have to cook your "free" breakfast. I would give it a 2 out of 5.

If ur looking for a quiet hostel this definitely isn't the place to stay, every night is a party night with boxes of goon and beer pong. Good crowd to make friends and have fun. Great location, fairly clean although the cockroaches let it down, rooms are very very small and stuffy. If ur looking for a cheap sociable hostel this is definitely ur place

Our room had a rancid smell our whole stay. It was small, crowed and messy, no room for 6 backpacks. The walls are paper thin. It said on hostel world that there was free airport pickup, but when we called and asked, the man told us that the free pickup was only for bookings directly booked with ChilliBlue. OK? Why do you advertise this on hostelworld then!!? Overall the cleanliness of this hostel was aweful!

Staff attitude was terrible. Messy, inconsiderate guests ruined our stay. Value for money is good as the location is spot on. Beds uncomfortable. Shower clean and hot. Free wifi. Free full breakfast is slightly over selling it, it's dry toast and a hard boiled egg, and you have to rent a plate and knife to eat it off. I'd suggest paying slightly more elsewhere, and you'll get a much better experience.

It was one of the worst hostels I have ever been to. The toilet and bathroom were dirty all the times!

Great internet connection, good location and soundproof walls. Disgusting cockroaches in the kitchen, tiny rooms and unfriendly staff.

The staff was incredibly unhelpful and rude, there was cockroaches in multiple rooms and they took money from you anyway they could. Would not recommend anybody to go there and will never be returning myself

First night I had at least 50 small cockroaches underneath my mattress and when I told the receptionist about it and wanting to switch rooms all he said was reception is closed and gave me bug spray. Someone had left food underneath the bunk. That killed most but still bugs were all around the place. Other than that it was a good place fr the price

Very nice stay at the chili blue, even if the wifi is quiet slow. The breakfast is nice and the courtyard too!

I always have a good time at Chili Blue with the organised nights out etc! Its also a clean hostel and the new bathrooms are really nice. However, there needs to be more lockers in the rooms and the kitchen is small for the number of people staying there.

We lived in a very small room, was barely room for my bag. In addition, there were only two cabinets, when it was 4 beds. It was a pretty disgusting carpet with big stains on i. It was hot in the room so we had to have the window open, cockroaches crawled into the room an walked around on the bunk beds. We were not allowed any quilt to our very worn and shabby blankets. The bathrooms were recently renovated and very clean. The kitchen was also okay, so was the tv room. But the Wi-fi was bad.
