The hostel is in the part of the city where there is always a lot a people, even until late evening. So it's a nice place if you want to go out, but not that much if you want to be in calm. Well located to visit the city (with the metro and tram near the place).

Good location. Room was not clean and bathroom was difficult to use- shower is directly over the toilet so everything gets wet when you shower.

Stayed in a private so can't comment on dorms.. No air con, no fan, broken curtain. 'Ensuite' is a foul smelling bathroom with shower over toilet (although great shower pressure and hot water). Bed is comfortable though. Hostel staff are Turkish men who appear to rather be doing other things. Poor quality of service. In a great location in Beyoglu however be prepared for noisy nights as is close to the streets. Would not stay again.

I loved this hostel. The staff and other guests were warm and welcoming, and the facilities more than acceptable. The location was fantastic of course. My only complaint was the fact that I did not have access to a locker because my room didn't have enough of them. But otherwise wonderful, a With wonderful people. Stay here!

WIFI worked only 50% of the time, and some of the bathrooms were dirty. (one had a garbage bin leaking a puddle onto the tiles.) But that said, it's cheap and well-located, and none of the issues were deal-breakers, so i would still recommend it.

Dirty, loud, smelly, and hot. I would not reccomend.

Chillout Cengo was my home away from home in İstanbul! The vibe is really cool and you can't beat the location in my opinion. It is true to its name - I thınk you need to be chill and low-maintenance to enjoy. Not a luxury space by any means but still really cool and close by Talabashir neighborhood, so you get a feel for the local vibe of Istanbul combined with the comforts of Istiklal street right there. My favorite hostel spot!

The hostel had a great location that was close to the city center and had a great and super cheap kebab place across the street. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only issue we had was that the wifi didn't work in our room and we had to use it in common areas and even then it was spotty. But that is somewhat to be expected in Istanbul and didn't deter from the trip in the slightest.

İ enjoyed very much, i feel so relaxed, thank you very much for all

This is a fun hostel with a great vibe and really relaxed yet helpful staff who make everybody feel comfortable. The location is a stone's throw from Taksim Square and it's really close to bustling shopping streets and side streets with awesome cheap food (check out the place a couple of hundred metres away with 1.50TKL kebabs)! The kitchen has everything you need and there's tea and coffee available all day which is a nice touch. It's a great value Istanbul option

Super friendly staff, right in the centre of the action in Istanbul. Does get a little hot in the summer, and noisy (from outside), but easy to meet other travelers in the common room, communal kind of vibe

This place is pretty average. The Wifi is horrible! You can only use a couple of phone apps. Not a very lively atmosphere. Great location though.

Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Wifi. Would definitely recommend this hostel if you wanna stay in Istanbul.

Everyone was open and friendly, homely vibes all round!

Very nice place; great vibe. Good value for the money and excellent location—right near Taksim and Istaklal Ave. Staff were friendly and there was a great group of travelers there when I was. Would've stayed for longer if I could've. Definitely recommend it.

Wifi was pretty much non-existent. Not the cleanest place. Good location next to Taksim square.

Awesome place, super friendly hosts, awesome atmosphere in terms of place and people, in the heart of the city. We had great experience!
