The staff are so friendly and helpful, the location is close to many night clubs and restaurants. From taksim square is easy go to the old part of the city. Is very clean and the atmosphere is very good to make friends. if you are looking a place for party and fun this is the place, but if you want just rest and be quiet is better in the old part of the city close to the mosques.

It's in a great location, very convenient, but that also means it is quite noisy at nights. The staff is great, very helpful, friendly, and flexible. You can create personal relationship with the ppl in the staff or with other guests. There is lots of free stuff in the kitchen you can use to cook meals, such as rice, bulgar, or olive oil. A cheap lokanta about 20 steps away, a grocery store about 50 steps away to make your stay even cheaper. Very bustling nightlife!

Did NOT have advertised air conditioning in hostel, only ceiling fans in the rooms. This is false advertising. It was also very close to a noisy bar which played loud music well past 4am. The hostel was overall not that clean, although the kitchen was very nice, and the staff was friendly.

Very good location if you like to party as it is in a busy location. Would recommend!

Stayed at Cengo for two nights. The staff are friendly but not always very approachable. The common areas lack character and somewhat not very inviting. Rooms and bathrooms were clean at all times. The entrance to the hostel is not the best characteristic of the hostel (thankfully). Hardly 10 minutes walk from Taksim and right in the middle of all the happening places!

No breakfast was a downer. The rooms were clean but the place looks worn out and in need of some refurbishing in the entrance especially.

It was a really nice stay! We enjoyed! We just stayed for one night and in the two bed room. Its really tiny but good. With a little balcony and a air fan. The team is just awesome and helped us with everything. The showers were clean and hot water was there. It is really in the city centre! So we can just recomment and tell you try it!

Loved this place. We stayed in a private room with a shared bath. Room was small but had a balcony and didn't spend much time in it anyway since the location is great--right off of Istiklal. The tradeoff is it's loud at night if you're not partying too but we were prepared with earplugs. Beers sold at a reasonable price. Funky atmosphere and cool vibe. Cool common room to hang out in. Friendly staff. Kitchen access but the only place we stayed in Turkey where breakfast wasn't incuded.

The building is old, smelled like it needed cleaned. Half of the bathrooms were under construction and the others smelled musty. I wouldn't stay here again.

Nice place in a great location in Istanbul. Everything was clean and the staff were super helpful.

Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations on places to visit. The atmosphere was as the name states very chill! Met some great people here and had a fun few days in Istanbul. Suggestions are that the bathrooms/showers be updated and a possible reconfiguration of the kitchen space (a little cramped). Also, I recommend the door being shut to the smoker's balcony so the people in the common area don't have to get a whiff while "chillin"

I had a wonderful host in Chillout Cengo Hostel. The Hostel is a house in city centre of Istambul, in Taxim Square, one of the best central points in the city; buses to the airports depart from here and is just 1 minute walking from Hostel. Everything is so close to the hostel, we can find tourist places as well as more local stuff. The staff in the hostel were the best, always abailable to help us, and so kind. Best guys to have a coffee or a beer in the way of our trip. Athposhere was great.
