Cengo is for anyone who likes to meet people, chill out, party or just relax after a long day. You have all of these options. It's really nicely decorated with funny notes everywhere and the music in the common spaces is always good. The location is perfect with istiklal street right around the corner, yet no considerable noise. Staff is the best. They make you feel welcome, help you with tips, any info you want, make tea for you and hang out or party with you if you wish to. Keep it up, cengo!

Awesome people, groovy place, perfect location and super cheap!! Although I only stayed for one night I had a great time! The staff are more than friendly and will help you with any questions and advice about the city. The rooms are clean and cozy and the wall decorations are super funky! The entire atmosphere of the place was chill and awesome! Loved it!

Good location and friendly staff who often seem intertwined with those staying at the hostel. Excellent atmosphere and location, though no breakfast included. Would recommend whole-heartedly.

Friendly and super nice staff ! Highly recommend for the ones who wanna meet people.

Solid hostel, tons of character--three flights of rainbow stairs, a monochromatic red kitchen, cartoons and notes on the walls from former guests. Staff was polite, laidback, and helpful but otherwise minded their business and didn't seem overly eager to interact. Relaxed environment, loved the quirk. Overall, a bit more "roughing it" than some of the bigger, chain Euro hostels (e.g. one morning water was off til noon) but beds were comfortable and price was very well worth it--I'd stay again

Love the place. The people there are super chill.

really nice people there. excellent location. helpful staff. thank you, i'll be back.

I love Chillout Cengo Hostel! I have stayed here on 3 separate occasions and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Every time the staff were friendly and helpful, my bed was comfortable, the showers warm with a lot of water pressure, the Internet works, location is great, there's an indoor swing, filtered water, free Turkish tea... Also there are nice places to congregate and share meals with other hostelers as well as places to relax on your own in a nook with a book or your computer. 5 stars!

Excellent situation (its basically 1mn away from the main street for night life in istanbul), friendly staff, for the double rooms i d only say that the seperation between the hallway is quite thin. But beds are good, there are enough bathrooms, also clean... Recommended

Guys, that is a really good Hostel for the price you are paying. The staff are excellent, The place is clean and the location couldn't be better. If you need a cool place to stay, think about Chillout Cengo.

I booked for 2 nights and stayed just over 2 weeks. A firm favourite for me. Awesome staff (who play great music), always filled with interesting people, good common areas to chill out, amazing location in a side street nr Taksim (3 blocks from Istiklal-avoids a bit of the noise). If you absolutely can't sleep with noise and light I wouldn't recommend it but it's not bad at all. Always supplying more towels and blankets if you need them. And free tea and backgammon sets! I'll be back v soon :)

The staff are so friendly and helpful, the location is close to many night clubs and restaurants. From taksim square is easy go to the old part of the city. Is very clean and the atmosphere is very good to make friends. if you are looking a place for party and fun this is the place, but if you want just rest and be quiet is better in the old part of the city close to the mosques.

It's in a great location, very convenient, but that also means it is quite noisy at nights. The staff is great, very helpful, friendly, and flexible. You can create personal relationship with the ppl in the staff or with other guests. There is lots of free stuff in the kitchen you can use to cook meals, such as rice, bulgar, or olive oil. A cheap lokanta about 20 steps away, a grocery store about 50 steps away to make your stay even cheaper. Very bustling nightlife!

Did NOT have advertised air conditioning in hostel, only ceiling fans in the rooms. This is false advertising. It was also very close to a noisy bar which played loud music well past 4am. The hostel was overall not that clean, although the kitchen was very nice, and the staff was friendly.

Very good location if you like to party as it is in a busy location. Would recommend!

Stayed at Cengo for two nights. The staff are friendly but not always very approachable. The common areas lack character and somewhat not very inviting. Rooms and bathrooms were clean at all times. The entrance to the hostel is not the best characteristic of the hostel (thankfully). Hardly 10 minutes walk from Taksim and right in the middle of all the happening places!

No breakfast was a downer. The rooms were clean but the place looks worn out and in need of some refurbishing in the entrance especially.

It was a really nice stay! We enjoyed! We just stayed for one night and in the two bed room. Its really tiny but good. With a little balcony and a air fan. The team is just awesome and helped us with everything. The showers were clean and hot water was there. It is really in the city centre! So we can just recomment and tell you try it!

Thank for this few days in your great hostel, the team is very kind and the location is great.Keep on giving this nice place to backpackers! bye!
