This hostel is okay and the area is great, but there were a lot of inconveniences - the rooms are tiny and crowded, there are only 3 communal showers for like 80 people and there are ALOT of stairs if you are staying on the 4-6th floor. On a positive note, the staff is really nice, the hostel is unique, and they let you do pretty much whatever you want. This is a basic hostel in a great part of town. Ideal if you just want somewhere to sleep. Cool colourful decor and really friendly staff. Only a few bathrooms which are not very clean, but not really a problem. Simple traditional Turkish breakfasts served each morning (bread, olives, tomatoes, tea) along with lively music...great! Would recommend - definitely seemed better than the other hostels I saw in Istanbul.This is a basic hostel in a great part of town. Ideal if you just want somewhere to sleep.
