Nice beautiful old mansion converted to hostel. We had the double w/ priv bathroom - lovely big room w/ lots of natural light. Bathroom was small but shower had great pressure. Nice courtyard with tables & chairs to eat at, big very well equipped kitchen & large dining area. Wifi didn't work that well while we were there. Staff was very friendly & helpful and gave good advice and orientation with map re super markets, buses etc. Even lent us bus card to use. Comfy & relaxing, would recommend!

It's a nice and quite hostel. Our room (Nr. 5) was very spacious and clean. A bit strange was that the switch for the room light is outside of the room. The staff was helpful. The only thing we underestimated is the distance to the city center. You can take the bus or walk. But to walk it takes half an hour from the hostel to the Plaza Independencia. Otherwise we can recommend this hostel.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Chimbas. It was really clean, well located near the bus terminal (and only about a 15 minute walk to the downtown) and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. There is a good little pizza / empanada place 2 blocks down if you need a quick and cheap bite and a few kioskos if you need some water or beer (or the hostel sells them to). We had the private double room at the top and thought it was in great condition and the bathroom was also really clean

The location was excellent for me because it's within walking distance to the bus station (about 10 minutes). It's also about 20 minutes to central Mendoza.

Excellent and big room, we had shared bathroom (there are two) which always were clean and free. Nice garden with pool. Helpfull staff which helped us with our questions (and also lend us a rechargable bus card during the stay). 15-20-minutes walk to city or you could catch the bus.

Had a great time at the hostel, very chilled place and good accommodation Staff were very helpful, we booked two tours through them and all went according to plan. 5 min walk from main bus terminal and a good supermarket close by with easy access by bus and walking to the centre of town

A great, chilled out hostel. Really pretty garden with small pool which is perfect for when it gets too hot! Kitchen is big and well stocked, whole hostel really clean, good breakfast. Short walk to bus station. Lovely place.

We spent three nights at Chimbas and thought it was one of the best hostels we have ever been to! If you enjoy cooking you should definitely go there as the kitchen is spacious and absolutely super-clean! I wish I'ld have one like that at home...

We really enjoyed our stay at Chimbas! The staff was very courteous and could always be found cleaning. We booked a superior room in late January and lived like kings for a week. The pool was great, the kitchen was professional and the area had a lot of great local markets to buy your veggies and meats. We will definitely recommend Chimbas to our friends visiting Mendoza.

The inner part of the hostel is great! The place is really big and beautiful. They have a pool!! Great for summer times, used it a lot. The beds are not that good and the pillows are the worse, i felt like sleeping in a rock. The shower was good but you needed a trick to get it working (ask the staff). Claudio and the other guy with curly hair were the best, helping us on everthing. They had cold beer for a good price on their fridge. The breakfast is not good. On the overall its a great hostel

The staff really cares about the guests and is outstanding.very nice pool in the patio.the whole place is managed very well.good breakfast.the only annoying thing is you always have to ring the very loud doorbell to get in, good for the sleep of all guests.

Overall my boyfriend and I felt comfortable at the hostel. The hostel would benefit from having a couch with a tv because there is nowhere comfortable to sit back and relax. I really appreciated the staff trying to be helpful and they were very thoughtful. Leandro is extremely nice while there is another guy working there that is not so nice... The hostel is a great relaxing place, away from the center of town.

Chimbas is a great place to stay in Mendoza. The staff are really friendly and helpful with local info. The hostel has the best kitchen we've seen in LA. Our room was great - quiet, comfortable, cool (and they're installing more air conditioners!) Location is good too - near bus station and a short walk to el centro.

Location: 10min to the bus-terminal, more than 20min to the center but there are busses close to the hostel. a big supermarket is next to the bus-terminal. rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy also during the night. no aircondition, rooms can be hot in summer the hostel has a big and welcomming kitchen/breakfast room with access to the nice garden/yard and pool (clean enough to take a short swim). wifi works good.
