The host was extremely generous! She welcomed any questions we had in terms of getting around and always asked if there was anything we needed. Definitely a great location if you're looking to stay in Kyoto.

I had a wonderful stay! The inn is a close 10 minute walk from the Kyoto station, making it very convenient to get on the city bus system or grab dinner at the many restaurants near the train. The staff were wonderful and even gave me a gift for my birthday. Accomodations were fantastic, even offered multiple cushions for me to make the bedding more comfortable, but wasn't at all needed. It is cool at night because there is not central heating, but the blankets were more than enough I'll be back

Great rooms and warm futons, and the staff is excellent! Great location, too - very close to Kyoto and Gojo stations. But remember that it's traditional Japanese style - meaning thin sliding screen walls and super cold in winter. If you're into that type, though, it's awesome! Would totally stay there again.
