I thought that it was unfair that you did not advertise that you would be closed from 1-5pm. I arrived at 1:20pm and then had to wait with my stuff for almost four hours to get let in. If you are going to have a lock out it should be advertised on the web site so that people are prepared.

The hostel reminded me of a hotel Quentin Tarentino would use for a movie set in the late 80's to early 90's. Had flurries of modernity dispersed throughout a prop set from that of "The Shining". All being said, the location made it easy to drop various items of merchandise off throughout the day, and still be able to hit the streets, so to speak. An ensuite in the room that does not contain a toilet always makes one think, "All drains go to the same place eventually". Will power must prevail.

The hotel is centrally located, you can walk to the sites& there´re food places and a supermkt near by. The staff was friendly and helpful (although they´re not there in the afternoon). My room was clean with a simple bed, a desk and a sink. There´s only one coed shower in the 4th floor (I was in the 2nd), but there was never a queue. There´s no common kitchen, or place to meet other travelers. A small fridge in the room would have been helpful. Its a basic hotel to stay close to everything.

The hotel was very cozy, the staff was super accommodating (if you need something just ask), the location is great! The rooms are not fancy, but then again why are you there to stay in your room. I was able to get their free wi-fi all the way on the third floor, even though it is only in the lobby/first floor. I think this was a wonderful hotel, definitely would stay here again.

we stayed here for 3 nights and loved it!! we rented a private room and it was the perfect size and very clean. The bed the super comfortable and the shower was so warm!! We would come back and stay here the next time we are in Bordeaux!! Erik was very helpful. The only thing is that you need to check in before 11:30am or you will have to wait until 5 or 6 when he comes back. We loved this hotel!!

Good location. Staff were friendly, but when I checked in, they neglected to tell me that reception would be closed from 1 till 5 each day and i would need an access code. Consequently, I was stuck outside for awhile. Stay here for the location and not much else. Cheap simple rooms.

The directions online dont tell you anything...take tram where, what line, where do you go from the stn...not everyone walks around w internet. I arrived on a sunday...info booths all closed...spent 10 euro on a taxi. I emailed the hotel for directions and never received any. My room was up a flight of stairs, the pnly toilet was up another flight and the shower was up a third flight. I missed a connection and emailed that I wouldnt make my first night...they didnt charge me..that was good.

Nice small rooms with toilets for each floor, but they are very clean. There's only one male/female shower for the whole hostel but I never had a queue. The shower itself is not beautiful, but the owner is going to install a new shower cabin (at least, the parts for it are already placed with their wrappings in the shower room). Located in the bathing room are also two bassins if you've dishes to clean. Therefore the room is bigger than you might expect. The owoner is very serviceable.

you get what you pay for. the location was really good, close to lots of fun stuff. The staff were also very friendly, but were not around very much. The reception was barely open at all, and there was no wireless internet. You could get internet, but it was expensive (5 euro a day). The bathroom in our room, although clean, had a very sewery smell.

The private double room was really nice. It was very clean and comfortable. It's in a good location and the directions on the web site are excellent. Unable to check-in when I got there because the staff are barely ever on the desk. Arrived at 2pm which is a pretty normal time but there was no one there until 5:30pm. This was also frustrating because when I needed to talk to someone during the day time there was no one there.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Choiseul. The man behind the desk was exceptionally helpful and informed, and we had a great time chatting to him. It felt like the staff here really cared about you and your needs. The location is wonderful and their security system makes great sense. The only real issue was that our room could have been a bit cleaner (some stains on the bedspread and on the floor, and a bit of a funny smell), but for the money, this was a great place.

I had fleas in my bed. Also I found out that the hotel do has a different rate for 1 person. They just not let people to book for 1 person in the website, only for 2 person.

The hostel was very clean and the owner was a very nice and accommodating person. The walls are very thin though so I could hear everything.

This is a good option if you are on a buget, like i was. However the staff were not friendly and were not helpful at all. But the beds were comfortable and it was clean enough.
