BED BUGS!!!! No matter what price, there should not be bed bugs. I have read review saying there were bed bugs there, but I was hoping maybe I wouldn't get the beds that have them but I did and other girl told me she was feeling itchy as well. I only stayed there for 2 nights, and I got the bites the first night and some more the next night. The location was ok though, the service ok and the breakfast only bearable. WOULD NOT COME BACK HERE

There were no places left in the hostel so i slept in a room at secret garden. It was the best place i stayed during my stay in rome (i did 2other hostels). Cheaper, cleaner, convenien location(close to subway) the breakfirst was very nice. I strongly recommend this hostel

The hostel staff were very friendly and happy to answer any questions. We stayed in the Secret Garden part of the hostel but we were still welcome to use the hostel for breakfast and the free pasta nights. We stayed in a twin room on our first night cause the double was booked out. We then moved to a double room upstairs. Just gorgeous! flat screen tv, small fridge, safe, huge bathroom with a shower and spa bath! Make sure you close the windows at night though cause the mozzies will get you!

The lady at the reception didn't make me feel comfortable and she wasn't helpful at all.

Everything here's so so nice. Staff, cleaner, room and location--very near colosseo-- you can walk in 10 minutes! Breakfast is also good though it's just break but damn delicious!

The hostel has good location, few minutes from the metro station. The rooms are clean and bright. I would definitely come next time.

Stayed at the secret garden for 6 nights. didnt realize rooms with private bathrooms were in a separate hostel. it was a good building though, more like a hotel than a hostel. brilliant rooms, very spacious, had a small balcony and room was cleaned daily. top floor has a terrace with tables and makeshift kitchen. not many people hang out here so difficult to meet other travellers (except ones staying in your room) so if you are travelling solo you might want to stay in the main hostel with sh

Not in city center, though the day traffic ticket is cheap, not a big problem. Staff very warm and helpful. Facilities are good though the kitchen is a bit small. Free pasta on Friday night is interesting. The upper bed is a bit unstable, otherwise quite nice

Staff is super friendly. It is a bit far from main areas, but there are walkable distances and a metro station is one block away. They clean the sheets of beds every day

Excellent little hostel, staff very friendly and provide "insights" to what to see and how much you should be paying. buffet breakfast was ok and wifi works fine in the rooms. Location is excellent only 2 metro stops from the main station, buses from either airport only 4euro straight to the station, Colosseum is walking distance as are plenty of nice bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again if I went to rome.

Had a pleasant time. The staff was nice and willing to be helpful and were a good source of information. The sleeping arrangements are a tad uncomfortable. Sleeping on the beds was like sleeping on a box spring. The facility as a whole was small, but that is to be expected.

We had a private ensuite double room, which was located in the "secret garden" building, a 300m walk away from the main hostel building with the reception. The room and the bath was both clean. It was a bit loud, though - so don't forget to put your ear protectors for a deep sleep. The staff was very kind and very helpfull.

there were few points that I didn't really appreciate while stayed 3 nights there : 1,the wifi singnal was extremely poor in the room . 2,I had to climb many stairs 4 times with my suit case to the reception ,as the room wasn't in the same building. 3,the cleaning lady every morning very hurry to clean the room,so we couldn't slepp late .and she looked abit angry the day we didn't leave at 10am exactly for checking out .and why did she remove the carpet in bathroom and I fell badly on wet floor

Our room was in the basement. It had a window to the street, which could not be closed, so all the noise came in all night. So the first night we could not sleep any. The next day we told the stuff to do something, but they ignored us. We got ear-taps, BTW in a pharmacy. The room looked filthy, the bathroom had no window, no ventilation, but there were lots of mold. The breakfast was cheap, there was no wi-fi in the room. Ciak is a typical one-time tourist trap. You should remove it.

I loved the feel of the hostel and the price was great! It was a little far from everything--about a 25 minute walk from the Colosseum, but it was definitely worth it for the price we paid. Our room had an awful smell when we got there the first night, but each room is cleaned daily and eventually the smell went away. Breakfast and the free spaghetti dinner on Friday and Saturday night were nice, and the staff were great and so helpful!
