Our stay here was alright. I liked that it was a six-person dorm with its own bathroom (beats having to share a bathroom with like 16 people!). However, the night staff wasn't very helpful. There were only 5 blankets in the room and when I asked for another, he said "it's summer (this was oct) we don't have blankets" and that was it. Not cool. :(

I have never seen an employee treat someone so badly as in this hostel. If you see a long haired guy in the reception, watch out. He is rude and arrogant. This hotel should fire him or give proper training to him. Be aware that the hotel is not in a safe area, when we arrived the manager warned us about a crazy woman who throws water at guests. The room at the Secret Garden is very hot, umid and full of mold.

Nice hostel, really quiet, if youre looking for a party place or wanna meet people, this is not for you. Good location, close to a metro station. The area is kind of dodgy though, didnt feel really safe to walk on my own at night. Wifi is free so thats good. We had lockers in the dorm and the room was cleaned everyday.

Great hostel- the staff were very friendly and were happy to give me tips on what to see and where to go. I thought the area around the Termini station would be more touristy and sleazy, but it was great. You are about a 15-20 minute walk from the Colloseum and about a 30-40 minute walk from central Rome (Spanish Steps, Pantheon, etc), although of course you can take the metro or bus. Bathrooms were a little messy, but otherwise no complaints at all.

They are locating you in another address different than they claimed. The sheets were full with small bugs. I have never stayed in this kind of dirty place. I have been beaten by them and could not sleep. The breakfast is very poor.

Nice place, clean and great staff but ensure that your bed have been assigned to you and that other people in your same room know what's your bed place in shared rooms. Recommended.

Good place to stay in Rome. The location is good. It is fairly close to the colosseum. It is walkable to bars and clubs, although a little far away. It is also close to the subway and a supermarket. The staff is superb. They are extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

The Hostel is very nice and clean. Every day our room was cleand up. The staff was so friendly and the ambiance was very familial. The best part was the terrace at the secret garden, where we ate breakfast. I loved my abidance at this Hostel. It is very commendable.

The staff was friendly but the room was very small for 6 people, I hardly had room to walk around the backpacks and there were no lockers.

Staff very very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. They have free pasta nights on fri and sat but unfortunately I didn't stay on those days. The area isn't the safest at nights be aware if arriving late. Walking distance to colosseum and right near a metro stop. Would recommend to stay here if you don't want a party hostel

We stayed at the Secret Garden (private rooms) of Ciak. The location is pretty good as it is about 15 min walk from Termini and about 20 min walk from Colosseum. The private rooms location is more like a B&B or guesthouse than a hostel. We had all our linens/towels supplied as well as a continental breakfast. There isn't much interaction with other travellers at the private rooms location but I would definitely recommend it to other travellers looking for a quiet place to stay.

The Staff wa great and really friendly! A supermarket is right around the corner. Our 4-bed room had a little balkony and a fridge. In the second building we stayed in breakfast was taken on a terrasse on the roof- which was cool. moreover, you had the possibility to cook... thats all i can say from staying there one night:) oh right- i had a good night sleep.

Ciak Hostel is great for a clean, safe place to sleep with all the necessities provided for free: computers, wifi, breakfast. Location was great too. You can walk to the Colosseum, the Forum, the Pantheon and many other sights. One downfall however is the social aspect. There was very little provided by the hostel to meet other travellers and hardly anyone stays long for breakfast. Most people keep to themselves. If I wasn't traveling with a friend, I wouldn't have enjoyed the hostel as much.

This Hostel was brilliant! The staff were really friendly and helpful, the location is really good - only 10 minutes from the Colosseum and 5 seconds away from a fantastic ice cream place!! The room we stayed in was fantastic - we were in the deluxe private double en-suit in the Secret Garden and it was great. The room was nice and clean (and was cleaned everyday!) and the jacuzzi bath-tub was an added bonus!!! Breakfast was basic but everything you need to get your day started! Top marks :-)
