The bathroom was very dirty all the time

Ciao hostel was good value for money and it was nice that there was a TV in the room and an accessible kitchen and fridge with good facilities but there was a strong smell of sewerage in the lobby area which was off-putting and the location was slightly out of the way of sites although very close to the station. Overall a good stay.

There's no comfortable lounge area to hang out and meet other travelers.

Nice hostel for stay. My suggestion is to have 24h reception.

The hostel was great, would really help travellers if they provided lockers in the rooms.

Beautiful, clean and tidy hostel. It has a common room and kitchen on each floor. Rooms are wide, beds are comfortable. I have to warn you: this hostel is NOT for people looking for party. It is great to meet people from your floor, but there is no common room to the whole hostel. Even though the small room for your floor and kitchen are really good, modern and useful.

Location is really good 10min walking to trai station and 12 min to center. Hostel was really clean. kitchen, baths, toilets, beds, linens, wifi everything was perfect. Really liked staying there. It was like a hotel.

It's near the SMN train station, but that's kind of it. I only stayed one night and I liked the whole set up, I just wouldn't come back due to location. If you want something near the center, this isn't it.

It was a nice hostel - clean, accessible and provided all the basic amenities :) That said - it was apparent our room was originally made for 3 beds and a 4th had been added just to fit more people in. I would recommend bunk beds to create a greater sense of space in the rooms. In addition, I believe a 24/7 reception would make guests feel much more comfortable as I was required to answer the door and attempt to check-in a guest at 11pm (reception closes at 10pm).

Nice place and friendly staff. Really close to the train station and 20 minute walk to city center. Each floor has a great kitchen and the dorm rooms are pretty big. There isn't a common room but the kitchens do have a nice big table. A bit noisy right on the street but nothing earbuds can't fix.

Really great experience here! Very central location, full kitchen, comfortable beds, nice staff. I would have given 5 stars on safety because there are 3 keys to get to your room (outside door, floor door, and room door), but strangely there isn't a locker in the room! Kind of silly to have all that security when you still have to carry all your valuables because there isn't a locker...

Nice place, friendly staff. Ask for a room that is not on the street side - it was a little noisy at night. Very close to main station, but a pretty good walk to main areas in Florence.

A handy hostel close to Santa Maria Novella train station. Lobby is a bit dismal but the rooms themselves are clean, open, sunlit, and spacious. Two shared bathrooms per floor (4 dorm rooms per floor w 3 beds each). Good kitchen, nice shady garden view. The lockers don't lock but it's still pretty secure, as you have a key for the room, a key for the floor, & a key for the front door. Good value for the money, esp in a place as expensive as Florence.

Convenient location, helpful staff. Had a very comfortable stay here, though the bathroom could have been cleaner. Would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The hostel was located very close to Firenze S.M.N station although a 20 minute walk to the main tourist areas in Florence. The staff at reception were polite and always happy to help when needed. The hostel was divided into small blocks with 5 lovely rooms- more like a hotel than a hostel! Facilities were great with 2 bathrooms and a good kitchen with kitchen table, hob, microwave, sink and cutlery and utensils which made it very cheap as we cooked every night! Overall, a great stay! :)

Was more like a hotel. Great place to stay, staff were very friendly, was comfortable and the room had plenty of space and good wifi. Not the ideal place to stay if you want to meet people. Can't fault it other than that

The hostel was sort of centrally located. The bathrooms were new but the two on my floor were not great- one had the ceiling leaking into the shower so it would drip on you while showering and the other didn't have a lock on the door. There weren't lockers in the room but it was nice to have beds that weren't bunk beds. There are plenty of plugs for chargers and you are provided with a towel. The kitchen area is nice but there really is no atmosphere. Would probably not stay there alone.

The hostel is really clean and organized, but it has a constant foul sewer smell. The area is close to the Main Trainstation SMN, but to the contrary side of the city center, between some dark streets (although the city is super safe). They wouldn't let me use the phone to make a local call.. It was nice but not sure if I would return.

Hostel with a hotel vibe - not the best atmosphere if you're looking to meet people. But great kitchen facilities, clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. Located a short walk from the train station. Would stay here again.

I really liked this place, had a homie feel to it
