It was my first hostel experience and I am very happy that it was nowhere near disastrous! The rooms were a good size, but there was no AC which was a bit of a problem since it was so hot and humid out. But you could get floor fans at reception so really, not a big complaint. They didn't have lockers in the room. The location is pretty good in relation to downtown because the city isn't very big, but it's a bit of a walk from the train station... Otherwise it was a great experience!

That time I stayed on the 4th floor and the room was very warm. The receptionist gave me a fan and it helped a little bit. It was very nice of him, but, even so, it was so difficult to sleep. I suggest to put an air-conditioning in such rooms. Thanks !

The room was very clean and the facilities all new. The bed was decorated beautifully and each room has its own toilet and shower. It is not right next to the train station but not too far either. Although there is no kitchen there is a microwave oven and a water cooler in the bar. Definitely worth the price, considering also the fact that Strasbourg is also a beautiful city.

Wonderful modern, clean & spacious rooms. My room had ensuite toilet & separate shower room. Bedding is comfortable with towel provided. However no air-con meant the room became unbearably warm at night! Wifi is excellent altho only on the ground floor. Staff are excellent. Breakfast extra. No room lockers. 15mins walk from all the main sites which isn’t hugely convenient. Not a sociable and fun hostel as there is NO atmosphere at night. Overall a great budget option for Strasbourg.

The rooms were nice the location ok but the attitude of the staff in the morning stunk worse than a skunks bottom! She offered me a "buffet" breakfast consisting of croissants cheese eggs bread yogurt cereal etc I paid my 6.50 and went in there was hardly anything out no eggs etc so took a coffee and 2 croissants while I waited for them to replace empty trays...when I returned I was shouted at and told no more like a greedy child, you cannot sell a "buffet breakfast" then not have anything out

Ciarus was a useful hostel for a quick visit to Strasbourg. Just 15 minutes from the cathedral and 5 minutes from the supermarkets and city center it was a great spot. The security was good but there were no locker facilities in the dorms. The hostel was very clean and the rooms were very stylish and minimalist. good showers in the en suite. however, WiFi is only available in the very bland and uncomfortable reception/ common room

Not a hostel. Basically an apartment block. We only stayed for one as a stop over on our way from Croatia to Spain and it did the job.

Nice location, not too far away from the city center and the European institutions

Good, clean hostel, with a bar. Only slight issues for me are that it is slightly annoying to only be able to get wifi on the ground floor and not in the rooms. Also 9am checkout seems unnecessarily early.

It was more like a hotel than a hostel. The facilities were amazing. My 6-bed female dorm had two ensuite bathrooms! Everything was also brand new. I felt like they recently renovated or something. They provide you with towels, shampoo, and soap just like a hotel would. Each bed had its own outlet and lamp. There were no lockers provided and wifi only worked downstairs at reception. Location was great. 15 minute walk from the train station!

Wifi only in lobby and is slow at best. DON'T bother with the breakfast, it looks like last weeks conference scraps...Rooms however were lovely with great bathrooms (2 bathrooms for a 6 bed dorm) and comfortable beds. Easy location to walk to the old town from.

Strangely many older people, so probably a good choice if you're older. Wifi only works on the ground floor and WiFi calling is disabled.

I had a very clean and modern room with a big shower

Great location, very clean, helpful staff. Only disadvantage: no kitchen or breakfast included. The room was also quite hot, but we would stay there again and recommend it to friends with no hesitation.
