The rooms were great and clean. My only issue was that there were no kitchen facilities at all. Not even a kettle. Also - the rooms had no soap for your hands. But apart from that, it was pretty good.

Centrally located, comfortable beds, quiet at nights. Nothing special but a good hostel if you want to spend as less as possible on sleeping. I will stay here again next time I come.

Looks great when you get to the front lobby but the rooms are disgusting, staff was very unfriendly, have to pay for wifi and it doesn't even work in the rooms. Bathroom was absolutely filthy. Would not stay here again.

I have reserved a single room for 3 nights online. But as I needed to stay longer, I contacted the hostel directly for changing my reservation according to the instruction stated by Hostelworld. But when I arrived and was going to pay, the staff said that the deposit I have paid cannot be counted into the outstanding balance because I have cancelled the reservation. But I regard that it is not cancellation as I still stayed in the hostel, also they did not mention this in their previous reply.

In general, this is a good place to stay in Strasbourg. The location is great. The atmosphere is alright, but not suitable for making friends. It is annoying that the check-in is so late (after 3:30 p.m.) and the check-out so early (not later than 9:00). If you want to stay just one night and arrive in Strasbourg early, you end up putting your luggage in the storage room (which every hostel guest has access to) and walking around the city the whole day. You return then to sleep and get up early.

I found my experience left a great deal to be desired. Form the start, I did not feel welcomed upon check-in. The staff gave me no assistance in navigating the building or getting settled. The room was difficult to access. The other guests were very noisy, mostly young children, let loose to run through the hallways. The facilities were uncomfortable and the room cold. No breakfast was offered in the morning, despite it was billed and advertised.

Was Ok. nothing special. Need to pay extra for breakfast. Need to pay extra for WIFI. No lockers. No kitchen. Great location though. Not fun at all, just a place to have a decent nights sleep.

This was the strangest hostel I've ever been to. Is it a hostel, a hotel, a community center........I'm not sure. It wasn't a bad place in general, but I wouldn't suggest it for travellers who would like to meet other people.

The biggest concern with the hostel was the security! Anyone could walk in anytime, take the elevator up, and have instant access to the rooms when the cleaners are busy cleaning the rooms (because they unlock all the doors on one floor and prop them open). I suppose at night time, when you're sleeping, it's not that big of a problem because you can make sure the doors are locked, but that's a scary thought. Some receptionists were great, some didn't care about you. It depends.

It's a very good hostel. The staff were really nice and helpful, I had no problem with the room (except the shower didn't work very well, it was very weak and not a lot of water came out), and it's well located, just a few minutes' walk from the centre. There is internet only in the lobby, but it works well and if you're lucky maybe you can get it upstairs in your room, which I did once. It only costs 1 euros for 24 hours. I'm happy, I would book it again, because I know I would have no worries.

Great hostel, on a different scale to all my previous hostels. Elevator was handy, so was baggage storage. REALLY liked the free garage parking for my motorcycle. Good location, a short walk to anything but not too close to the centre. Really easy to drive/ride too. Staff were helpful. Lot's of children/teens there during my stay, although I was not in a room with any.

A pretty generic chain hostel. Not much character but it does the trick - everything is clean and comfortable, and the location isn't bad - just five minutes' walk to the touristy parts of town. Having to pay for wifi was a bit annoying.

The only real good thing is the price, 20 € per night in a 4 bed room. For the rest I've found much more better other hostels I've been around Europe. Atmosphere is very cold, not the friendly welcome and warmth that usually you find in hostels, with the staff and with the spaces of the hostel which are set to make travellers more "close". In another time in Strasbourg I would check for sire for other hostels before to go again in CIARUS.
