No sprinkler hose in the shower of the room 338. And the shower does not work properly either. One has to press the hole time the knob to have water going. Also there was no warm water. I ask you how one can shower under this conditions? Impolite personnel (kitchen personnel) Poor breakfast for 4€ price; only a half a glass of orange juice, old bread and to have an extra croissant one has to pay 1€ extra. What a rudeness!

No public computer to access the internet. The hostel did not offer any water or tea to the guests (while this is quite common in general). The attitude of the staff was quite bad and they were more often rude than kind. The Breakfast is not included, and that might be fine, but it costs 4 euros and you get very little (no buffet, no cereals), just half a glass of juice, one cup of bad coffee (or tea), ONE croissant (extra one is 1 euro!), ONE piece of bread.. no choice at all.

Quirky hostel with really nice rooms. There was a huge school group of high school kids who showed up the same evening, made an extreme amount of noise, and were generally a nuisance but otherwise a nice stay.

So its not a hostel, but its pretty much the only choice. It would be nice if there were kettles or fridges in the room though.

The staff member working when we checked in was not very helpful; our questions were answered minimally and there was no effort made to help us. It seemed as if we were a bother for asking questions about certain attractions in the town. Also, the wi-fi was not working when we were there. When choosing a hostel we always consider accessibility to the internet in the hostel.

This isn't a bad hostel, rating might suggest otherwise, but its basically the only dorm accom in Strasbourg. It isn't really fun, but there isn't anywhere to stay that is really. Its a bed to sleep in after a day seeing the city and achieves this goal reasonably well. Except with no fan or air con, the rooms are stinking hot at night, difficult to sleep.

Not really a hostel, but more a convention center that also has a few individual beds. No atmosphere at all. Everthing feels clinic and sterile, especially the breakfast place that is more like a canteen. The rooms were clean and the location is ok (15 minutes to the cathedral square by foot), but if you want a cosy place to meet other travellers, don't go to Ciarus.

4 beds dormroom is so small that it is impossible to relax there and only what we can do in the dorm rooms is just to sleep, but its location is excellent to the centre and also to the laundry, not far from the station.

the room is very very small, no place to put big baggages for four persons. no storage box in the room, you have to put all your things just on the shelf. there is only one socket in the room, when somebody use laptop, you can't charge the cell phone battery. wifi is not free, you have to pay it. but the signal is very weak, you have to login every 10 minute.

Somewhat lacking in character, it's a big hostel with not much going on there. Location is ok. There are no lockers for your bag, you just have to trust your roommates! 4-bed rooms were very small and a bit of a squeeze, and the beds are uncomfortable close to each other; there's essentially just a thin board separating your head from your neighbours! They also charge for wi-fi (which kind of sucks even though it's only €1) and the check-out time is 9am!! Still it's the only hostel in Strasbourg
