I have stayed here for 2 months and will be staying for another 2 months! Upon first arrival it was not what I expected, the pictures on the internet show the hostel to be much nicer than it is! The rooms are basic and clean, the kitchen area not so nice! The staff here are brilliant, however only 1 member speaks good English so if she is away and you have any problems it can sometimes be a challenge! Extremely good value for money in Beijing & defo recommended!

The cheapest single rooms are like rooms in a 4-bedroom apartment. All four rooms share one bathroom. They also have a common area with a kitchenette. If they get on with each other it should be great. The real disadvantage is that these rooms all have a small window each which only opens onto a corridor and not into the open. So the air is never really fresh and all the noise from the corridor goes into the room. And it can be noisy! But if you sleep well enough, it shouldn't be a problem.

Staff was very helpful. Got info on where i could book train tickets. Called a taxi for me on the day I left. Rooms were OK, facilities clean. Location wasn't as bad as I thought. Pleasant neighborhood. Not industrial and run down as I thought. Try to avoid morning rush hour though. Apart from that, everything was fine. Took 40 minutes to get to Beijing South Railway Station on a rush hour morning. Not too long, since I was expecting longer commute times.
