Friendly, helpful staff and impressively modern and clean throughout. The bar/cafe was a highlight, with a nice relaxed atmosphere in the evening and really good value breakfast. Would recommend it!

I thought that this hostel was a party hostel but it wasn't. For a solo traveller, it was really hard to meet other fellow travellers. Berlin is a great city but alone is a little bit boring. There's not really a common room, it sucks.
Great hostel! Especially since Berlin is a city with no definite center, Circus Hostel is in a great neighborhood with fantastic access to the rest of the city. A bit pricey in comparison to similar experiences I've had, but I still would recommend staying there.
Good hostel in a good location. Staff were friendly and there was a good spread for breakfast. Wifi was limited in my room and non-existent on the can but good connection in the lobby.
Downstairs bar was unfortunatley closed mid-week, made it hard to meet people in the evenings especially. SO funky and arty, very welcoming! Great day tours.
Excellent place! Probably one of the best places to stay in berlin! Great atmosphere, good all you can eat breakfast for €5 and the staff is too notch. Would definitely come back
I really loved this hostel. It was clean and had a great feeling, but I wish there was more of a real common space. It had a lobby with couches and chairs as well as an attached cafe, but there wasn't the big kitchen/living space I was used to hanging out. I was hoping to meet people here to get dinner or drinks with and didn't find it easy to do that. Other than that, this place is great and I would come here again.
It was our first time at The Circus Hostel but definitely not the last. Really good value for our money, great location, (the hostel is only about 1 min walk from Rosenthaler Platz subway station and about 10 min walk from Alexanderplatz). Really enjoyed our stay in the hostel, it is clean, the staff is very helpful and cool. 5* for the price! We'll be back :)

Felt more like a hotel! The location is perfect, really enjoyed the surrounding restaurants, cafes and bars... The atmosphere certainly is not of a hostel and the staff isn`t very helpful.. Otherwise it was a perfect stay, excelent elevators, good value breakfast at the downstairs cafe, bathrooms are numerous and clean.. rooms spacious and clean, except for a strong moldy smell that was in our room, tried opening the windows but the smell stayed. I would recommend and stay again the next time!
Hostel is in a great location in East Berlin and a U-Bahn station is basically right out the door. Really nice facilites and rooms. Best showers ever. Only downside was the lack of kitchen. Everything else about the hostel was amazing though. Would definately stay here again. Walking tours pick up from the hostel, which is a nice bonus.
Very good location, in front of the subway station, 15 minutes walk to Alexander Platz and the Museuminsel. Comfortable beds and very modern structure. Most staff members are really helpful and friendly. There's also a very nice café bar on the basement, Katz and Maus, perfect to have some beers at night, even though you can find a cheaper breakfast outside in the morning.
The bartender (girl) on Friday night at the bar was not very well trained... no clue how to serve a Wheat beer in Germany, needs improvement...

Circus Hostel is in a good location, walking distance to all the main tourist attractions. The bathrooms were very clean. The rooms were huge - the lockers were very small, only big enough to stick your valuables in. There is an outlet inside them though. The hostel was very conducive to meeting people. We ended up touring Berlin with the other people who were staying in our room! :)
This is by far the best hostel I stayed in Europe this time. The place is really cool and almost like a hotel. Clean, safe and an amazing location. The reception staff are super helpful and are the best people to ask for any tips on what to do whether it be for sightseeing or partying in the best clubs of Berlin. As a solo traveller the atmosphere was very friendly and was quite easy to make new friends. And the hostel bar is cool..The choice is easy - book your stay in Circus Hostel!
Circus was a solid hostel. Not particularly memorable. I stayed at about 6 hostels this month and Circus had the WORST staff. I was never informed that there was a bar downstairs until my last night and a few of the front desk girls were straight up bitches...like why? Your job is customer service...Just unhelpful staff overall. Everything else was alright. If you go to Berlin, stay somewhere else.
A large clean hostel with a good unlimited breakfast ( not included in the price ) a lively bar and helpful staff.
What great fun! This is because of all the amazing people in my hostel room. Spacious, comfy beds and a common table in the room. Clean and the breakfast/cafe area was great - definitely worth it to pay the 5 euro fee for the feast you get (it's buffet style). Location is great for traditional German food and late night eats ;). It is right next to a train station and a major intersection so it's quite loud at night. Don't expect to get straight sleep because the sirens go off a lot!
Really handy location next to trams and U-Bahn (U8 line) A few good little places to eat in the immediate vicinity. Try the currywurst at 'Curry' across the road! The free walking tour is really good, especially if you're interested in the history of Berlin in the last century. €5 all you can eat breakfast is well worth it. Good little bar downstairs. Outside noise from Rosenthaler Platz is the only real negative. That and nowhere to cook for those who usually want to.
Really good hostel, lots of amenities and in great location!
This is by far the best hostel in the world. It mix every important part of a perfect stay.. Staff, fun, design.. The staff is the most amazing part of the experience. They makes you feel welcome and do the most to help you in every detail you need. And it doesn't sound like they were obliged to, it's like they love to do so. The design is amazing and they keep updating it :) I'll come back soon and meanwhile my friends will too recommended by me :)
