Remember kids, make sure to have the proper U-Bahn/tram ticket. They do check and you will be fined. No dumb tourist tricks here. Make sure to tell the front desk exactly where you're going so that maybe you will be advised which ticket to purchase.

A little bit noisy at night (the doors close very loudly!) but we couldn't complain about any other aspect. The staff were so helpful, and the extras like the bar, the brunch, and the transportation tickets made our stay fantastic.

I really enjoyed staying in Circus Hostel. Wish breakfast was free, but everything was great. The staff were so kind and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this hostel and stay next time.

Based on other reviews I decided to stay here and I wish I hadn't. Everything about the hostel is excellent, the facilities are clean, the staff was helpful (although gave bad advice more than once), the location is honestly nothing special, but this is easily the safest hostel I've ever been to. But everything you read about having a hard time meeting people is true. My room was empty almost my entire stay and there's no common room. As a solo female traveller I cannot recommend this hostel.

Probably the only thing I was not satisfied with were the computers downstairs. Trying to to use windows xp was bit of an issue as well as the Internet. But besides that our stay was great! :)

We stayed in a private room, was extraordinarily clean and comfortable. The rooms are of a decent size and decorated sparsely but nicely. The showers and bathroom are very clean and the whole establishment has the feel of a hotel. Location wise it could not get any better, you're a hop away from the metro and center to a plethora of good restaurants and bars. The breakfast is great and the bar downstairs offers a lot of opportunity to socialize. Only wish there was a little fridge in room

Very clean hostel, not far from museums and other sights. I would definitely recommend renting a bike from them. It makes the city much more enjoyable. Good and very inexpensive meals, cheap drinks as well. As a girl traveling alone I found it a bit difficult to meet people, but I would recommend this place regardless.

One of the best hostels I have stayed at! So well planned and smoothly run! Helpful staff, great facilities, has outlets in the lockers even! And a great, fair-priced cafe connected! Will definitely stay here again if I return to Berlin!

Comfy beds, clean rooms and facilities, very helpfull staff, good breakfast, free walking tours from the hostel, about 15 min walk from the historical centre and a nice bar to meet people. All in all a great hostel, definately staying there for my next visit to Berlin!

It was probably one of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed in. I don't think I can find a thing wrong with it. I'll be telling everyone who goes to Berlin to stay at The Circus.

I have nothing bad to say about Circus Hostel. Location is great and central, but still in a charming area, friendly staff, good security etc.

This was the best hostel I've stayed at. The location is quite central and in a fun but easy-going area. It was clean as can be. My only complaint has nothing to do with the hostel but with the worst snorer I've ever heard.

This place feels like big hotel masquerading as a hostel... which also means it was run very well, linens and bathrooms were clean, and security is excellent (many layers of doors to get through). My biggest gripe is the doors slam very loudly, so it\'s hard not to wake people up in and out of the dorm bedrooms (I stayed in a 10-bedder). Other than that, a very good hostel.
