Location is very poor. to far away from city centre. Website does not tell you that you must have a cash deposit when collecting your keys. Bathroom was to small.

Overall we had a good stay. Little things like no toilet roll in our bathroom (we had an ensuite) was suprising. We knew we had to bring our own towels but nowhere on the website does it say bring your own toilet roll. Aslo the website states that some of the Twin Rooms have 2 single beds and some have bunk beds. When we requested a room with 2 beds as oppose to bunks we were told they only have bunks.

After reading the reviews, I was nervous about going but was pleasantly surprised once there! Considering how cheap it is, it's definitely worth it. It's close to the center (5 min walk from St Stephen's Green and Grafton Street), you get a basic breakfast of toast with jam/butter and corn flakes, and a small basic room (stayed in a double bedroom with shared bathroom). The beds were a bit uncomfy and you could clearly feel the springs but after a day of walking, it was easy to fall asleep!

We booked one of the renovated double private rooms and had no complaints; the room was quiet enough, clean enough and the staff did their jobs. Met expectations with no unpleasantness.

Rooms could have been cleaner and more comfortable with a small effort. There was lot of noise especially from showers/waterpipes.

Breakfast is very simple, only bread, cereal, tea and milk. All staff are cool, didn't have any kind of problems with they. Bed is a little bit uncomfortable, but the room is very warm and is very easy to got sleep. Perhaps, the worst thing is to take shower. I stayed in 2 different rooms and both had an awful shower.

there are better and more comfortable hostels to stay in Dublin, however no big problems with our stay.

The automatic shower was way too hot and the staff weren\'t helpful in solving the issue. The reception isn\'t too welcoming nor too professional in terms of behaviour, resulting in a poor atmosphere. Also, instructions to the breakfast and to using the kitchen aren\'t clearly explained nor displayed, leaving people kind of lost when they arrive.

I can't say that it was the cleanest room and cleanest kitchen that I've ever seen, that would be lying, but we had good time in the City Hostel. We had everything we could need, hot water, free WIFI, and a little breakfast included! So it was fair enough!

Horrible bed to sleep on,very uncomfortable. The fact that you had to walk to a different street if you needed anything was annoying and time consuming. No towels provided unlike every other hostel in the world was very poor service. The bathroom was the smallest thing I have every seen.Typical Ireland,a rip-off in every aspect.

The rooms were dirty, there were hair on the bed, in the linen and on the floor. And the showers and toilets were very old and non-attractive. The bed was worn-out and uncomfortable to sleep in. The window was broken in the way that you couldn't close it in order to protect the room from someone entering the room through the window. Otherwise, the staff was really friendly and helpful, but the facilities would need improvement or renovation.

The people down in the cafeteria were quiet noisy but it was not bad when we entered our room. We could hear the other guests in their rooms which considered the other guests. At least it's a hostel and not a big hotel. The employees at the counter were very helpful and kind and helped us with various problems like booking bus-tours and get an airport-shuttle in 4.20 in the morning. In the sourroundings are various shops, bars and restaurants and you can walk to city centre in about 20mins.

The room was ok for a hostel and good for the price, also the location is quite central. The breakfast is poor, just toast, butter and marmelade. For my male friend the bed was too short so he had some difficulties to sleep well, also if you prefer to have the window opened during the night, the traffic is quite loud. But in general, the room and space was good, in good shape, and bathroom and room have been clean but well, improvements could be done.

Location was really good, about 15/20 minute walk to the center. The staff were very friendly and happy to help out. We were a pair in a mixed four bed dorm. The room was fine, shower was good. The pillows need a good clean (/replacing) though! Due to sharing the room, it was slightly annoying that there weren't any form of lockers in the room for personal belongings. Overall though for the price it's a great little hostel.

The private room we stayed in was woefull, it was filthy, the bed was on a lean to one side and we were affraid it would collapse at any seccond. down the wall side of the bed you could see large amounts of rubbish. the kitchen barely worked (half of the hot-plates were faulty) bathrooms didn't look like they had been cleaned propperly in a while. however, on the dorm-room half of the building, the kitchens were great, facilitys seemed alot better. not good for private rooms.

Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Let's just say I'm glad I had my brought my slippers, dry shampoo and got knows what was in the bottom of the wardrobe. I was close to asking for cleaning materials but instead stayed out of the room as much as possible. I only stayed because the sheets looked clean enough and didn't want to look for somewhere else. Of course they had my money by the time I say the state of the room!

I was in a 4 woman room, and my roommates all appeared to be long-term residents. They had huge suitcases. Every inch of free space in the room was taken up with their stuff, dirty dishes, and food. The first night I slept with my suitcase ON my bed as there was no place for me to put it otherwise. The next nights I just slept with it in tthe middle of the tiny corridor of free space in the middle of the floor. The closet was packed with their clothes. Same in the bath.
