The hostel staff are really nice and helpful, it is situated right next to a bus stop which goes straight into town very regularly, and best of all is the breakfast! Great place to stay.

The hostel/hotel is in a rather unsettling location. Going to the hostel on the metro, i was confronted by a drunk guy asking for money; a group of black prostitutes next to the doors of the metro and a small Gypsy kid, who was begging me for money. I would advise not getting there late at night. The breakfast was typically French/continental and was good and plentiful and the staff were helpful and courteous.

the address of the hotel given online doesn't mach the actual one so it took as a while to find the place and the administrant couldn't explain how to find it. The neighbourhod looks pretty bad and dangerous itself.

Main thing: very friendly staff and super clean rooms! This place is out of the way, but not too far for healthy backpackers. And it's well worth it. Good bus links with the rest of the lovely city too.

Bit of a scary spot for a girl traveling by herself. Definitely uncomfortable walking from the metro station, very glad I didn't have to do it after dark. Decent enough hotel though, and the staff were nice.

A good value for the price, takes a 10 minute walk plus 20 min metro ride to get to the main city center.

The best part of this hostel was its staff. I spent a lot of time in the lobby using the internet (it was weak in one of the rooms i stayed in). All members of the staff at the counter were incredibly kind and helpful in my search for an apartment. The rooms were tight but actually a little more spacious than my friend's hotel room in town of the same price.

It is far away from the downtown even Lille is not a big city. It is not convenient to get the hotel especially for the tourist who can't speak French. After I got off the subway, I had no idea which way I should follow to get the hotel. There should be a clear guidance for the tourist how to get there.

A bit far from the city center, but there is a busstop just across the road, just to get back in the night is a bit far to walk.

Citotel Nordotel was actually a hotel minus the cost of breakfast. The facilities were nice enough. But we had to lower the metal barrier outside our room at night almost all the way with only a 5-10 centimeters of space for air so that no one could step from the outside into our room through the large, open window. Another plus was it was that though it was a ways from the center of town, it was just two blocks from a subway station.

Pretty far out of the way, but close (ish) to a metro stop. No real character, but no problems either.

It's pretty affordable for Lille, especially since we got our own private room and bathroom. The staff have been really helpful, but the cleanliness of our room (especially the bathroom) left much to be desired. The street that the hotel is located on is also VERY busy and VERY loud, so we often wanted to open our window but couldn't/didn't because of the noise.

Not in the nicest area and a €20 taxi ride from the centre. Hotel was a typical budget hotel, rooms were basic but good value. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable.

It was very clean and quiet. We only stayed there for one night, and we really liked it. It is not near the center but it isn't that far from the metro station.

We thought this place was an abandoned building. Windows boarded up, trash, etc. It is in a terrible ghetto in Lille with all kinds of creepy people hanging out. Big iron gates. Not good. The girl at the desk, however, was fantastic. When we said "WE CANNOT STAY HERE." She said okay, cancelle our reservation and even let us use the computer to find a place in Ieper, Belgium, our original destination. Best advice? NEVER NEVER go to Lille, and definitely not this place! Ieper instead!

good, clean and near the center, usufeul for visiting with car, but private parking not included, is 5 euro/day

Overall, the hotel staff were excellent, except the woman receptionist was not at all friendly. The first impression is seen through the receptionist's attitude, and she right away gave us a horrible impression of the hotel!!!!!!!
