One of my favorite hostel stays in Europe. Wifi galore, great staff, fun pub crawl and a nice location. Just FYI for those coming to the train station via bus, take two quick right turns from the back of the station and take a left at Burger King. Thanks city backpackers!

Definitely the place to go if you're a lonely traveler ! The place is very comfortable and it's easy to meet new people. The rooms are clean and the terace is ok. It's just next the central station and easy to find. Only the breakfast was a bit too small for me.

Overall not a bad hostel but, my stay was spoiled by Neils (young boy serving breakfast) the rudest person met in 90 days traveling.

Booked one night here prior to my Baltic ferry to Finland. Easy walk for airport bus. Sauna, Free pasta, and decent kitchen were a nice touch. Clean and good appearance. Nice central common area. Not far from shopping & restaurants. Took me 25-30minutes walk to Vasa museum and less for old town. Disappointed that the hostel charges 50 SEK for bedding. Who carries their own bed across Europe? Although clearly stated in booking should be included like most other hostels. Washer & Dryer available.

The location is fantastic and it is very clean. You must take the shoes off to go in. They have different activities everyday. The breakfast is not so good (limited), not worth it. The bedrooms are great!

I was only one night in this hostel but I have nothing to stay against it ! The staff was amazing and the place is really nice. Only bad thing for me is the fact that you have to pay for the sheets ...

Oh, but you don't HAVE to pay for sheets - you are allowed to bring your own! It's very common in Sweden, and really helps to keep the prices down, since laundry services are so effing expensive here. Also it helps save the environment, since it really isn't necessary to wash bed linen which have only been used one night, like in your case. If you had brought your own you could have used them again the next night in another hostel. Clever, huh? Kindly Lena

So much fun stuff to do through the hostel. They do an amazing pub crawl and a fun Swedish meatball making class! Very clean, cool looking rooms and common area. Great kitchen for cooking, new looking, very central location near 2 subway stops.

The main problem is about the toilets: just one for three rooms in the part near the kitchen is not enought... You should put some mirrors in the rooms, like that girls can make up in their room and not in the WC.. Last thing: turn on the sauna, because it takes a long time to get it hot and it is not nice when as a customer you have to turn it on and wait for it. By the way, your hostel is very nice!

Hi there, thanks for the tough love! We need guests like you who looks around the hostel with hawk eyes, finds our weak spots and report back - that way we can improve! We do have quite a few toilets, so I think if you had walked around a little bit you would have found an available one... But I guess sometimes you just have a favourite WC, and you don't want variation! Cheers, Lena

I loved staying at your hostel! I did however experience the frustration of finding someone in my bed 2 of 4 nights. I know from speaking to other travelers in my room that at least one of these was staff error that was mentioned as it was being overbooked (they told erik it was full) That being said I managed to curl up somewhere and the staff definitely made up for it with a generous refund of those two nights.bottom line: I would recommend your hostel and come again.

Excellent hostel, I almost regretted having to leave the place the next day already. Clean rooms and bathrooms, free coffee, nice sofas to sit on... there's nothing to complain about (except the Swedish prices, but since it's still one of the cheapest around I'll shut up ). Loved the urban steampunk design.

Haha, I love your parantheses! We have no wish to be the cheapest hostel in Stockholm, but you can be damned sure we try to be the best! You didn't leave the city after you checked out, did you? One day is not nearly enough time to spend in Stockholm! Unless you left for the archipelago, which is stunning. I will pass on your praise of our interior design to Jocke, the owner - he should have all the credit, he loves his hostel and does all he can to buy nice things for it. Cheers Lena

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at city backpackers. The staff really helped me get the most out of Stockholm and it was tremendous mixxing pot of travellers eager to meet knew people. I particularly enjoyed the swedish meatball workshop, I can now add this receipe to my repertoire. Thanks for great stay.

Hi there, how heart warming to read those kind words! I'm glad you liked the meatballs. (Personally, I would have preferred a little bit more salt - Kevin and I both have very passionate opinions on the topic!) If you want to see the film from that night I've posted it on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeuL1ebrFBA Hope to see you back in Stockholm soon! Kindly Lena

The hostel is excellent, everything is brand new aandclean. Just a problem which might be but luck or a real problem for this hostel, whenever I wanted to speak with the staff in reception I had to wait. I had no chance of asking some questions I would have wanted. They have bikes for rent (big plus) and everything is just perfect.

I agree, we sometimes call reception "the black hole", because no matter how much staff we put in there, it seems like they are always hysterically busy! All the e-mails, invoices, telephone and Skype calls, missing light bulbs - it all piles up in reception. Our solution is events and tours, where you have access to our staff for hours. We actually have hostel staff with no other tasks than to hang out with the guests. I'm sorry you missed that, it might have changed your opinion! Cheers Le
