Oh, what should I say about this place: reception closes too early 10pm: had to run down the street as my flight was delayed, the door to the place is down a side street and not well signed, and was afraid of having to sleep on the cold, it was snowing, street. Had to be out the next morning before 10am, supposed to be on holiday?. Only one blanket on the bed, as a result was pretty cold all night. Otherwise it was great. doh

It's just OK. the total price in Swissland is very high. the price for the hostel is a little high, but comparing with the location , it's acceptable. the kitchen is a little small for more than 4 people. the microstove in 3th floor is out of service, but the cooking staff in 4th floor is out of service

The location is awesome! And the staff was very nice and friendly! It's a little annoying that girls and boys have to share the same bathroom and that the bathrooms only get cleaned once a day.

A decent enough hostel to get by the night. Wouldn't recommend it though

The room I had with 6 beds on the same floor with the reception was quite small and you barely had space to move in the room, otherwise it was comfortable, clean bed sheets maybe be rent if you don't bring your own sleeping bag. Location right in the middle of the old city, a couple of minutes away from the Limmat and less than 10 minutes walk to the lake or the railway main station in the opposite direction. Check in only ofter h15:00 but you may leave your luggage at the reception.

The staff member we met was outstanding - really helpful, patient and provided us with lots of tips for travelling in Switzerland. The Biber was in a great location (very close to the rail (airport), had all the facilities, very clean and neat. Beds were very comfortable and bed linen some of the best we have slept on in 7 months. The common room was very cramped and the kitchen on our floor was well equipped and maintained. We went on to stay and Glocke Hotel (Bern) and DaVinci (Lucarno).

The reception is located on the third floor i think, and your rooms are from the fourth floor onwards. So dat could be a problem if you have a heavy lugguage. The rooms is ok, but there are too few power source available. It could be better if an extension was provided. There are no bed lights, so you can only depend on the main lighting in the room which could be a problem if your roomates stays up late. The lockers is abit small which can only fit yur small valuables. It gets v cold at night.

Pros: great located, friendly staff Cons: tiny rooms for 6people, with no place for luggage or anything. Washrooms were not dirty, but also not clean whatsoever, very little lockers, they charge u for sheets, and no lift (reception is at 3rd floor) I think I should have paid a little more and get a better thing

Good hostel - but like everything in Switzerland - the most expensive in Europe. Staff are helpful and friendly. Lockers in rooms. You need to supply bedding and lock, there is no breakfast, but there are lots of stairs. There is no internet in room, and not enough power points for these days. There needs to be a powerboard in each room, and more power in the common areas. Great location, overall a good hostel. Showers are pokey.

Perfect location, very clean. Tiny common room that everyone crowds into to use the wifi. Not much character.

Just a simple hostel but it costs too much, like everything in Zzurich. The worst thing for me is that the reception works just a few hours per day: they close at 10pm and from 12pm-3pm!!! I had a flight at 4pm so i wanted to grab my luggage at 2pm but that was not an option, so i had to lock them at the train station (another 6€ for a couple of hours).

Nice and clean Hostel... Sufficient for traveling with limited budget... Nice and helpful staff... Thank you so much for the free upgrade (we booked 4 bed in mix 6 bed dorm but upgraded to 4 bed private for free)... Simple hanger inside the shower room would be very helpful and economical improvement... Balcony on the rooftop is awesome to enjoy the sky or just simple hangout...

It's a normal hostel exept the fact that you have to pay for the sheets. Showers are too small and don't have any hanger or stand to put your staff, very incomfortable! Great location!

There is even no hooks in bathroom. And also charge for the sheet.

Everything was really great other than the value you got. I met a ton of people in the common room and had a blast.

The place is very central in a good area of Zürich. I don't like this place because there are too much stairs before arriying at the reception and at the room.

My room was in 4th or 5th floor with no lift, so I had some trouble to get my luggage up through the stairs. Room was quite small for 6 people, but it seemed clean. Common room was quite small too, the good things are that they have a coffee machine and free wifi in the common room.
