service is not 24h,the place is no elevotor for 7floor
Location is very good! It lacks some atmosphere, but I was there just for one night and Switzerland is not the best place to party, so it was good!
This place is average with kitchens on each floor and clean beds, with the location being right near everything- although very noisy at night. Reception is shut between 11 and 3! We wasted about 45 mins waiting for to open so we could dump out bags as there are no lockers to put your stuff whilst reception is shut! Bathrooms aren't very nice, showers are disgusting! They let people have sleeping bags so chances of bed bugs are high! Lots of stairs in this place- may bother some people.
Really good location but heaps of noise from the street at night, right in the middle of the resteraunt area.
Super great location, right in the center of the city ! Be careful because it is very noisy during the night, especially the weekend. And also, lockers could be a bit bigger. You can put your valuables but it is impossible to fit your entire backpack in. The day you leave, you have the possibility to let your luggages at the reception. It's good there are kitchens, so you can cook your own food (otherwise it is so expensive in Zürich!)
Very unpleasant access, made through a set of 3 floor stairs passing by a restaurant kitchen, which is always open. Almost no common space, which makes the place feel like a maze. Reception is closed during many hours. Bedrooms are too small. No wi-fi in bedrooms. Bathroom lacks air circulation. No private WCs for girls. Kitchen too small and on the same floor as bedrooms. This place sucks for the money you pay!!!!!!
the reception should be opened at least midday.
the lobby is too small, too many stairs to get to the lobby and dorms, the reduced schedule of the reception is a huge downsize
Really friendly and helpful staff. Hostel is in the center close to lots of bars and restaurants.
The staff were very accomodating and apart from losing my room key (beware $25 Swiss Franc fee - keep your key safe!) I had a great time!
Ver friendly staff; neat and well-equipped kitchen; very clean room; we splurged on a private double room, so I don't know about the regular rooms. I appreciated having soap and paper towels in the bathrooms. Very good location in the old town, only a block from the canal.
Lots and lots and lots of stairs... otherwise it was a very comfortable stay :) there are a fair few floors, the reception is on the third. For each group of dormitories (think there was about 5 per group) there is a bathroom with two showers and two toilets and a kitchen. Very clean :) Bear in mind that you can only access the WiFi in the reception area (which was quite crowded) and you need to pay for your sheets - but if you can get over that aspect of it then I'd highly recommend it.

Really great location in the old town! Pretty expensive for what you get, but that's just Switzerland as a whole. Staff were very nice and there is a lovely rooftop area where you can eat your dinner with fellow travellers. The wifi could have been better (very hard to get a connection away from the common area) and I don't think closing reception between 12-3pm is the best idea, but, hey, it's not the end of the world. It's also an easy walk from the station, which is an important factor!
Disappointed to find that bedding was chargeable. This means that people use their own bags etc and this is what encourages bed lice to be spread. I know I was there at a hot and humid time, but there was no air-con and it was stifling in the building. Shame there are no individual lights and sockets in the room. Bathrooms, particularly showers are a joke. They are cubicles, where you can only just fit into and there is tape on the joints on the floor - they look shabby.
Brilliant location in central Zurich. However, there are over a 100 stairs to climb, which is a lot for someone with a suitcase or rucksack. No air conditioning, so when it's hot you have to have the windows open. You will be woken early by smashing glass and people shouting. The atmosphere is probably the worse in any hostel I have stayed in. Everyone seems to sit in the small room next to the reception as that is the only place to get the wi fi.

The room was super hot and noisy. I felt like sleeping in the middle of a bar. You also have to go up a lot of stairs, no elevator. The price you pay for a bed is absurd for what it is and what they offer, but Zurich is very expensive. The location is very central, bathrooms are ok, though it is the same for men and women.
The best part was everything, the atmosphere, the staff, the cleanliness of the shower and toilets(which is very important to me). I especially liked Ruth, one of the staff. She was always so cheerful and kind and always ready to help out. She even let me take a shower after I had already checked out (I was taking the night train which left at 10PM). And the reception place is wonderful for chatting and making new friends. LOVED IT!!
