City Centre Hostel Reviews

This was one of the better hostels I've stayed in. We had to check in past midnight but Allen was super friendly and accommodating, which we really appreciated. The door codes were secure and the room was just what we needed: a space to sleep and shower. I was surprised that we shared a bathroom with three other rooms, so it would be nice to make sure that's clear on the website (or maybe I totally missed it and if so I'm sorry). Towels were free and the location was excellent, so we were happy!

There is no 24 hour staff, and if you want to check in, you better hope someone on the street/at a local bar lets you borrow a phone a if you dont have a working phone. The gate out front doesn't always lock, and the key system for the place itself is an old fashion key to the apartment. The individual room in each apartment was a keypad A1234B type system. Because there was no 24 hour staff there were no towels for showering, and the floor of the room was completely covered in stains.

We had really big problems with the hot water in the showers. Luckily we had a friend living locally so we were able to use his shower. When we complained, the staff tried to help but it was no use. The next day we were not offered a refund or discount.
