We really enjoyed our stay, the hostel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were all brilliant. The atmosphere was laking a little, I think that the sofa room could be made a little more inviting so more people are inclined to come to movie night and meet others. The value for money was perfect, it was in prime location with everything you want to see in Geneva within walking distance or the train station a 10 minute walk. Loved it.

Not a bad hostel. Lacks a little ambiance, and the showers are very small though.

Room mate were nice and shared a lot with them.

The hostel was located in a great area in relation to the train station. The rooms were a bit small and the bathrooms were tight for a whole floor, but all in all, great place.

It seems like a lot of money to fork out for a hostel, but compared to the rest of Geneva it is a bargain. It is a very friendly place - great for a good night's sleep because it is not a party hostel. The free public transport card comes in very handy if you want to visit CERN or the United Nations, and they have a decent enough book exchange and lounge in the basement. Maybe I just struck extraordinarily nice roommates, but I had a lovely stay.

The staff was very rude. Additionally, reception was closed when needed most during the middle of the night and morning. I almost missed my train when trying to return a power adapter because reception was closed. It's unacceptable to not have an open reception, EVER!!! Additionally, all common areas were locked at night, so you were stuck in your room until late morning. I had someone snoring in my room and could not seek refuge.

The people here are great very helpful, the rooms are basic breeze block wall type affair so not pretty but nothing to fault. The biggest challenge is there is little social center for the place other than tv near reception. areas exist but are in random locations or are not that nice to hang out in. i think they know this though so the 8pm movie is a nice way to meet people

Ideal location near train station

The location isn't very good because it's in an area of town that isn't very friendly or safe. If I was alone, I wouldn't feel safe walking back at night. Otherwise, it's pretty good. The rooms are nice, clean and private. The beds are fairly comfortable and the bathrooms are clean.

City hostel was a lovely place to stay. Bit pricey but that just fits in with everything else in Switzerland! Friendly staff, clean rooms, great facilities! Plus free travel card for your stay (buses, trams, boats over lake). Would definitely recommend!

I don't know much about the history of the building but it felt like an old dorm building so it was a little cramped. It's conveniently located near the train station and at the price you really can't do better in Geneva. An average hostel but mostly very nice staff.

Expensive for what you get, but Geneva is expensive. Lots of noise outside the building at 5am. Kitchen facilities very small if more than one person is cooking. Staff helpful and friendly. Handy being a few minutes walk from the train station.

Nice hostel, clean, security is taken seriously, perfect location, very nice (friendly and helpful) staff... But I feel that there is a very strong contradiction between the sign at the entrance that reads "hostel for young people" and the prices/value for money [85swiss francs (80€ or 84$) per night to have to walk down 10 doors to get to the bathroom or showers seems excessive].

I loved Geneva. The location was excellent, only a brief walk from Cornavin train station and trams. I also received a free day pass on trams with my stay which was an unexpected delight and extremely thoughtful. The rooms were clean, the kitchen was spotless and I was able to use the computer for free while also leaving my luggage in their oversized lockers. I'm coming back.

Clean, big and comfortable.

Great, and would have been even better if the top bunk had [1} a bedside light, and [2] a shelf (or even just a couple of hooks) to hold a water bottle, watch, phone, book, etc.
