Great value! They give free tickets that include your transportation in Geneva. The discount of Swiss army knife is also interesting. The place is very clean and nice. I really enjoyed my stay.
Excellent staying there. Good location next to the train station, lidl and the main places. Clean and quiet. All the staff was extremely helpfull and professionnal. Many facilities (shop, change, internet, kitchen, laudry, lockers, one light per bed...). A few minus: The 3p room was a bit small, like the kitchen. (amazing storage in the fridge on a safe style) Check out time 10am is a bit early. Not a party hostel. Nice place to relax and recover on a good matress, after a long day walk...
It is really rare that I give maximum points for some hostel, but now it is the case. Hostel is a more expensive (compared with those from EU countries), but you definitely get the value for money, plus (as it is a case in the whole Geneve) a free transport ticket. Fascilities are really good, plus it is safe. The only suggestion for the staff: the deposits (for lockers, AC/DC adapters,...) should be little bit lower.
Almost perfect hostel! It's like a hotel, actually. Very good rooms, kitchen and bathroom. Private compartiments at the refrigerator with lockers. Perfect shower and cleanliness! It's not very cheap but you should know that things in Switzerland are really expensive! The wi-fi works at the room but in the 2 days I stayed there it almost stopped ( extremely slow speed) in the evening ( 18h to 19h) I don't know why. But really nice hostel! I would certainly stay there again.
Good hostel. Nice staff and good location. This is an above average hostel, recommendable!
Good basic accommodation in central location. Rooms were spacious and had sinks. It was good to have the use of a kitchen at the end of corridor. It's fine for a one or two night stay, but the atmosphere was not as nice as previous hostels I have stayed at. I did not like the fact that the toilets/showers were for both male and female. It would be easy to have separate toilet facilities.
Reception staff extremely helpful . I was having problems with an airline's emails/ online check-in/boarding pass procedures etc for the following day's flight and the staff took the time and used their PC to find a solution.
Very good location, at 5 minutes from the main train station, very clean, and quite. I think it's the best solution to have a cheap accomodation in Geneva. Staff is friendly, with a good English, and they give you also a free transport ticket. Definitely recommend this hostel!
Like most Swiss hostels it's expensive compared to the rest of Europe but they do have very good facilities eg wifi and lockers to make up for the cost. Breakfast could be included. Other than that nice and clean.
very easy to find. things were smooth but staff can be more friendly.
Centrally located hostel to get around to the key attractions in Geneva and having the travel card really made a great saving as accommodation in Geneva was quite expensive. We loved the kitchen set up where there was an individual locker for each room/person (this included the fridge) so you never had the issue of off food sitting in a communal fridge for days/weeks. Common areas were bright and comfy and the staff were happy to help with any request. Also great shared bathroom setup.
Good security and location. Room and shower clean but the toilets messy. Twin room is small but liked the fact we had our own sink in the room. Hostel failed to mention the loud construction that was to take place right outside our window starting at 3:00! It bothered many guests, we could hear others screaming and cursing at the situation as well. This is not the hostels fault, but a heads up would have been nice. I went to look at the construction and it doesn't look done so, travelers beware!
The office is closed for 1 hour in noon and there is no one around. This is an inconvenience to travelers.
Not much of a social scene in or near hostel - had to go far to find something to do. Really nice bathroom and well organized kitchen. Geneva does not have too much going on at night on this side of the lake - was kinda sketchy to walk around there at night. Apparently a lot of people staying there that are out of work, but we mostly kept to ourselves. Good stay though.
Well situated--Geneva is not a big town and easy to get around (they also give you a city pass for free for your stay to get around) Well-maintained and organized hostel. Plenty of information about what to do and see and cute souvenirs. In general a quiet hostel, clean facilities, and a helpful staff.
The hostel is very close the train station, and 10 minutes walking from the city center. The rooms are very small, but showers are fine. I think it´s OK if you´re staying there only one night as we did.
This hostel is a very clean place and is located right on the tram line that goes to the train station and the UN building. The only negatives were poor WiFi in my room (I used it in the lobby) and no breakfast. Would stay here again!
It was convienent located within walking distance of the main train station. The staff were very kind and helpful. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and if I'm ever in Geneva again, I would definitely stay at City Hostel!

There are not many choices in the city, but this is a fine modern hostel. With only three beds in the (relatively small) room I stayed at. I was surprised how early you have to book in Switzerland and France, so be sure to book (or extend) your stay at least 2 days in advance in order to have a chance.
The hostel was good and had a good location (10min walk from the train station and close to a tram-stop to the UN and Red Cross Museum). The staff was really nice and hepful. Not ideal for those looking for a fun hostel. A lot of people were working and there was no interaction with other guests. Computer on the basement was REALLY slow (good wifi available thought). The kitchen is really small, but not so used (was always empty). Some showers didnt have a place for you to put your clothes.
