Ideal location, friendly staff/atmosphere. Decor usual. As a female travelling alone it was ideal - felt completely safe and secure. Ideal location for space needle, key arena, pike place market and the light link rail (downtown area really). Thank you :)

Nice hostel, not far from Seattle centre or downtown (no more than 10 mins walk to each). Rooms were spacious and good sized lockers. Everything was clean, rooms were a little warm, the weekend I was there was quite hot so a fan or something in the room would have been good. Staff were nice and I'd definitely stay there again.

City Hostel was one of the best hostels I have stayed at. It newer than most, and clean. There was a ton of bathrooms to use, which were always clean. It was secure, locked at all times. The rooms were nice, they were large and had character bc of the different art on the walls in each room. The only grip I had about the rooms, is I was expceting to see more actual "artwork" but some rooms had pornographic photographs/magazine cut outs. SOME staff was helpfull & friendly, but some were not.

Great place to stay! The staff was awesome. Wi-fi didn't really work, but I have no complaints.

we wished that the breakfast area was painted a brighter colour rather than black to begin our day and the abortion scene around the light in room 301 may be a warning for young female backpackers but as older travelers it seemed in- appropriate. Good service and good breakfast, helpful staff and good to be downtown apart from shocking noise levels. hand sink was a little too narrow for brushing teeth at but then we had a bathroom across the hall also. cheers.

I found this hostel really cool especially the idea with the artists decorating different rooms! It was very clean, and was close enough to all the attractions of the city! The staff were very helpful, there were a lot of washing facilities and the kitchen areas were lovely! The only thing I'd flaw is the lack of air con in the rooms.

Fantastic place. Breakfast served free. Free internet. Good security at front door, which is good because the area is a bit sketchy... But I didn't fear for my well-being. Spacious dorms with really cool art work, as well as lockers, a wash basin, and lots of electrical outlets to recharge your gadgets. Lots of toilets and showers, so you won't get stuck waiting. Nice staff. Close to Pike Place Market, the nicest spot in Seattle. If I return to Seattle, I'll stay here again!

Really great hostel all around, close to everything. Clean, lockers in the rooms, good breakfast. The art everywhere makes it really cool! Will stay here for sure when i go back to seattle.

Quite a well put together hostel with a really good location. Don't eat at the Mexican restaurant that's close by, its really blah and very tasteless. For some reason we were given a backroom facing the alley and there was too much commotion happening. Garbage trucks coming by at like 5 am, A LIGHT was on all night in the alley way illuminating the room even when all indoor lights were off, and a generator from another business was too loud. However it was very clean & the art inside was superb!

the bathroom floors could be cleaner. Some curtains around the beds would be cool

Very nice hostel. A little bit away from the Greyhound Station, but thats okay. Starbucks and Subway nearby. Nice Rooms, with enough room to store your luggage. Bathroom was huge.

My friends an I had a great time at City Hostel. It's located in a fun and safe neighborhood within walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars and attractions. The artwork was beautiful and the staff were super fun and friendly. The only downside is that the beds are EXTREMELY uncomfortable (be prepared to feel every spring in your mattress) and our room was very hot. Otherwise it was perfect and I would definitely stay here again.

Really interesting artwork on the walls, fairly clean rooms although our carpet was not vacuumed it was not a big deal. Sharing the bathrooms was fine. Security with showing your card was really nice, I found the area of Belltown we were located in felt unsafe in certain areas. Staff were really nice and friendly which I appreciated. We were located in the back but could still hear people from the patio and our room always felt stuffy even when we left the window open. The walls were thin.
