City Hostel was one of the best hostel we've ever stayed in because of it's family atmosphere and really friendly people we've met here. Great value for money, breakfast included, clean rooms - it's just the basic. You don't need pub crawl to spend an excellent night with your hostel mates - just guitar, Skopsko beer (must taste in Skopje!) and people, all of these you can experience in City Hostel :) Greetings for Bobby, we'll come back definitely!

The bathrooms were not really cleaned, there was ants everywhere but the room are nice and also the staff... the maps that they give is really bad so you'd better take one before. Breackfast it's ok, the only problem is when you are not in the main building because they have 3 building but the breackfast is just in one.

Very nice place.

Hostel is in 3 different buildings spread across the city. We stayed in the private room hostel behind the main office, and we found an infestation of wood ticks in the bed and on the walls. So we were moved to the other hostel 4km out of town. The facilities were far better then the other 2 hostels, it was just out of town. Main hostel has small capacity and the "kitchen" is a hot plate.

nice atmosphere. helpful welcoming staff and good breakfast what ever time you get up. Not very clean though. I had booked a single room for three nights but had to sleep in a dorm the first night. other wise, good coffee and shots of rakai offered all along and they gladly phone an honest taxi company for you.

The 4 bed room was really small, there were mosquitoes, and the bathroom was not very clean. Other than that, the hostel's location is all right, and security level is presumably good, given that it's situated near the prime minister's home :)

The hostel's location was decent. The staff was very friendly, however it seemed to be a bit unorganized. Because they had too many guests and no rooms so they had to switch guests. The hostel wasn't very clean as well, and the breakfast wasn't very good. However the terrace outside was really nice, and we did enjoy our stay here.

ery relax easy stay and comfortable, friendly staff

This is tricky because the owner was initially lovely and helpful so this is no reflection on him. But to be honest: the inside of the hostel was dingy. It was uncomfortable and small. The kitchen facilities are a microwave-that's it. The shower was grimy and looked so old it was falling to pieces. It was just a horrible sitting area, no decoration, no good atmosphere, and a bit odd. Our room was equally dark and bed saggy. Security excellent though.

was in the quiet neighborhood, 15-20 min walk from bustation and the center. I booked single room but there was not any, but I got a small dorm room where I could sleep alone. Was quiet and cool though it was really hot outside. Internet connection was sometimes working, sometimes not but it was fast. Breakfast inclued coffee/tea, cereals with milk, bread and butter, eggs. Was ok with this room price.

Staff were really friendly :)

Nice staff, very hospitable and kind

We have arrived as it was planed, but unfortunately the owner told us that he have been mistaken and thaught that we come one day earlier. We supposed to have there 2 places in a dorm room in this hostel. The owner put us to another Hostel ( unfortunaltelly besides center of the city) and we had there room for couple - that was good. We have been traveling with a car so there were no problem for us to go there. Stuff there were kind and polite :)

The least pleasant place we stayed on our Balkans trip. Filthy living space and bathrooms - really disgusting. Building work being done, which we weren't told about - if we had wanted to spend any time in the hostel during the day it would have been disruptive. V thin (plywood?) wall between the 4 bed dorm and the living area so you can hear everything. Beds v uncomfortable due to being so old. Location poor, have to walk along main roads to get into town. We left early and were glad to get out.

The host was very kind and helpful. The outside terrace was also very nice. And the breakfast was included and also we could eat left breakfast food at anytime we want. The host prepared the breakfast in the evening for the guests who leave early in the morning. The Wifi worked good. There is one computer that you can use freely.
