It is a beautiful and clean hostel. It is rather cheap and the staff is very friendly. The location is on bus road and close to everything. They give advice to visit the city.

I enjoyed my stay. Had a private room. Bathrooms were very clean. Great shower. Quiet. Great location. Would recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at the City Hostel! The staff were very friendly, genuine and helpful. They really care about the people who stay with them. The hostel was clean and in a great location.

I spent four nights in City Hostel and mainly enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and they can help you with almost anything, Hostel is situated right in the heart of the downtown. The thing that I really didn't like is that while I was here it seemed to me that no one cleaned our room - the only thing that was done - they took garbage away. So the floor was really messy, especially in the bathroom. Also that was impossible to get on-line in the morning 'cause of a stupid Internet connection.

I was in Newfoundland for a trip to L'anse aux Meadows and for St, Pierre et Miquelon. But my stop in St. John's was a treasure, partly because of City Hostel. The place is placed squarely in the middle of the Heritage area. It was very comfortable, easy to find in the city and the staff was very hospitable. Very amused and charmed to find the receptionist who greeted me was from Estonia.
