Great place, spacy rooms, beds are comfy. Even in the 8bed dorm you have more personal space than other hostels offer in a double. bathrooms and toilets were perfectly clean. there is even alcoholic disinfectant in every toilet. absolutely recommended.

This is simply put one of the best hostels I have been to in my life... and I have seen many. I do not know what was the most amazing thing... the incredibly helpful staff, the comfortable beds, the super clean and new bathrooms, it was just awesome. The only thing I noticed is that people waste electricity (which is quite common in Taiwan). Brilliant hostel!

This is really the best hostel I have stayed in so far in East Asia! The place is pretty new and everything is clean. You can rent bycicles pretty cheap directly from the hotel, which are great for discovering Tainan. Would always recommend the place

We stayed there for a week and would have stayed longer, but the twin room was booked. A really lovely hostel, very quiet, because its in a small side street of the dasye rode, which is very busy. Around the hostel its the university area and a lot of young people and life is going on. The staff speaks a really good english and the atmosphere is really nice. We can recomendet it!absolutly!

You wouldn't believe you are in a hostel (in a good way). The common bathroom is impeccable, spacious dinning room and a great library.

The facilities at this hostel were amazing-- it was almost like staying at a four star hotel. There's a huge kitchen and communal area, and the bathrooms are the nicest I've ever seen in a hostel. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. If you go to Tainan you should stay at this hostel, it is unbelievable.

This hostel is amazing! Jasmine is very kind and helpful, as were the two part-time employees. It's a deal at only 500ntd a night, seeing as the facilities are nice and clean. It's also quiet and very conveniently located near the train station. Excellent!

This was my first hostel experience in Taiwan and it was an amazing experience. The hostel was extremely comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the location was convenient. I would definitely visit again and will definitely recommend City Hut 1828 to friends.

Cann't believe how awesome/spacious the shower room is as a hostel!!! The owner knows what a backpacker need indeed, details can tell the truth. Stainless steel cups for tooth brush at every shelf, no worries for power outlet though you stay at upper berth, everything is just right there when you need it. The location is also good, 15mins from Tainan train station by walk seems not too hard for a traveler.

It is not easy to find this place though it is not very far from the railyway station. Staff there are not friendly. Basic Twin Room are a very small room with bunk beds! ! And the bath water is not stable. It became very hot every now and then! I won't recommend this hostel to others!

A characteristic hostel with pleasant surprises in every corner. Its conveniently located near Tainan Main Station (12 min) and a bunch of restaurants and stores, yet its nicely tucked away that you can still feel the charm of historical Tainan city. The 8 bed dorm I stayed is bright, spacious and comfortable. The common area, which includes an court yard and a big kitchen, is a great place to relax and meet fellow travelers. Highly recommend and I definitely will be back again!

Level 3 needs more toilets and something similar to level 2. At the very least the shower head needs to be able to swivel down and there needs to be a clothes rack and towel rack. Very difficult to bathe.
