City Resort Hostel Reviews

Wish we'd listened to the other reviews; this place is disgusting - the worst hostel I've experienced over 5 continents! The staff are rude and incompetent. The place smells awful and the stench in the some of the rooms was unbearable. There is mould EVERYWHERE. We didn't bother even trying to use the 'kitchen'. There were cables hanging down into the shower. My bed had no sheets on it. The furniture is all broken, ripped and dirty. We left a day early!

If you don´t want to ruin your trip..please don´t come in this hostel! It´s the worst hostel I have ever seen: very dirty, strange people around.. old and messy and one thing that made me so angry.. very loud at night with drunk people shouting and nobody at the reception who said anythig!!! I could not sleep for all the nights I stayed there.. since I decided to escape from there! And the prices are not so different for the other ones!

One of the female staff, the manager, is downright hostile. The rooms and all facilities are in various states of disrepair. Expect to see plenty of bugs. Be VERY careful with your things on any weekend there is a festival, etc.

What a fab place to stay!! We met some awesome people there, everyone is soooo friendly and so much fun!! Staff were brill and are really friendly!! We wanted to extend our stay, and this was so easy to do so! There was one woman, a cleaner, who was very rude! However everyone else was fab and have no other complaints! Although there were a few cockroaches in the rooms, over all, we really enjoyed our stay and would defo come back! We are now in a Coffs Harbour and we really miss this place!

Clean the place. Clean the bathroom. Remove the dead spider that there is on the ceiling of the male floor of the third floor.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. However... The property as a whole could do with a powerhose and painting. The ceilings in the bathroom were mouldy. There were cockroaches in the rooms therefore our food wasnt edible after the first day. The alleyway that you could see from the sink of room 11 was full of rubish. Its a great location with great staff but a small investment wouldnt go astray- just look at the rest of the reviews associated with the hostel!

It is so run down and there are BUGS everywhere; I am talking cock roaches and seriously think there were bed bugs. So disgusting!
