Stayed in a double room, it was like having our own apartment for the price of a double room. Great value and great location.

We had a double room with ensuite, there was also a kitchenette which looked pretty dirty. The floor was sticky, no way to go barefeet, in the bathroom at the washbasin and the shower were moulding spots. We moved out after one night! The location is not too bad but can't make up for the lack of cleanliness!

All I wanted was a bed to crash in, and I got it, so I was happy. The general cleanliness wasn't great, but it didn't really worry me. The room was listed as dorm with ensuite, but it didn't have an ensuite, just used shared bathrooms with several dorms. Staff were friendly.

The only good thing about this hostel was that the beds were clean and comfy. I would not recommend this as a place to stay. The showers were not cleaned the whole time we stayed. The bathroom condition was atrocious. The kitchen area was filthy and the place in general was in poor condition. Two people arrived whilst we were there and promptly left. The reception only opened during the day which meant when I left in the morning, I lost my $20 key deposit. I would avoid this hostel at all costs!

The hostel is hundred steps away from the Airbus stop. It is not too crowded. There is no need to queue or wait when you need to use areas like the toilets, the kitchen, the PCs etc. What I liked more was the single beds. I am light sleeper so I avoid dorms with bunked beds if possible.

This hostel is fine if you just want a place to stay but bad if you are looking to meet people. Its good if you are planning on living in Auckland for a while. The rooms were very cold and draughty. I had booked an ensuite dorm room but apparently there are no dorm rooms with ensuite. After complaining, I was given a twin room with an ensuite. There are no real social areas or social events, so it was difficult meeting anyone.
