The place is not great (not even particularly nice) but nothing will beat the location for the price. The room was pretty sad (kind of rundown) but the sheets clean and the bed comfortable enough to take some sleep after an entire day of running around. It's not the kind of place where you'd like to hang out but it's definitely a good place if you want to stay somewhere cheap and close to the city center. The staff very friendly and helpful.

Even though I spent most of my time outside of the hostel I enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again if or when I return to London. Great value for the money in a convenient location. Happy that I could support the Y and its programs.

enjoyed my stay. did not appreciate the very thin walls. could hear everything. showers on our floor werent brilliant. one of them would only get very cold or very hot and the other was slightly better but not perfect. but all in all it was fairly great place to stay. but more out of the conveinence of being about the only hostel that was available the whole time we were there.

The stay was great, the facilities were well above expectation, and the bedroom was more than what I bargained for to be honest. I would recommend YMCA for any short-term stay on a budget :)

It is a shame the hostel is being "relocated." A nice place to stay.

It was perfect for what I needed and I think it is a real shame that the City of London is not renewing their lease. Every major city needs a central YMCA like this and to lose this one is such a loss for all who use it. I hope the City will find them a new and equally good location.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. I was allowed to check-in early at midday as soon as i arrived as the room was ready. I had a room on 11th floor with huge balcony . However, there was no wash-hand basin in room .I went to wash later in the communal shower and toilet area. I went to use toilet and i exited the communal area very fast. I will not go into details, but, one was blocked and the other one was ....I am not going there !! Filthy . Breakfast very reasonable and still good value

inspiring position, good choice for the money if you have to stay for a couple of days. not more. the great view from the 15th floor can't compensate for the tiny and not so "fresh" blankets, who were supposedly clean but didn't give this impression. man's toilet door on the floor had its lock broken, which is not good. i speak about my floor, however. i adapted myself only because i stayed two nights. i would not take my woman there.

The bed was a little bit on the soft side. I had a bit of pain in my lower back after a few nights on it.

Safe secure reliable dependable but boring. Little to no hostel nightlife. There was just one small uncomfortable common room with your typical 3 Spanish guys hanging out. No rugs, paintings, guitars in the corner.

I stayed in this hostel for two nights from last Friday. It was too noisy to sleep on Friday night. A guy in the next room started to play music very loud from 11:30pm and having a party with friends until 3am in the morning. Also, my room was very cold since the window does not close properly. I went to the reception to borrow a heater but the security guys just gave me a blanket and didn't even look for a heater.

What you lay for is what you get, the only downside to the hostel is at it full of performance students, this is not a place if your are a lite sleeper as the students tend to gather in room sing and talk to the we hours of the morning, staff don't seem to care so. Not my first choice, unless your on really tight budget
