Definitely the best ho(s)tel I stayed in .cn. Very helpful staff, very tasteful meals, clean, the courtyard very cozy and spacious. Great location. I would recommend it to anybody.

Good: Location in a pretty good location if you want to explore the hutongs and hou hai, we booked a dorm room and were the only ones in there (4 bed dorm has its own bathroom). Bad: funny smell in the rooms, no window, no ventilation, its cold in winter (has a wall heater but not internal heater) , it was a bit too chinesey for (Mao ze dong posters everywhere etc). Shower in warm but flow is weird. I wouldnt be rushing back, prob check out DejaVue Hostel around the corner
