More of a hotel than a hostel. Receptionists were direct and not friendly. We had booked a double room as it was our anniversary, and they gave us a twin. When we asked for a double, they had none - so we slept on opposite sides of the room, very romantic! Huge hotel - no atmosphere. Good to sleep only. Breakfast was good. 10 min walk to main sights. Room sterile, felt like sleeping in a hospital room. Bathrooms clean. Would not return to this hotel.More of a hotel than a hostel. Receptionists were direct and not friendly. Check in tie not earlier than 15:00 (altough not fully booked) isn't great service when you arrive from airport in the morning, and storing valuable goods in a room far away in the cellar with no security control is quiet dangerous in my opinion... Excellent, traditional 'herberge', as you can see them all over the continent.
This place is not an American-style hostel, where entertainment is included in the price (you have go look for that for yourself in DD), but they do have friendly staff, clean shared bathroom units (toilet, shower and wash basin all in one room) and and yummy breakfast. The location is also very convenient, just a few steps away from the old town. There room was freezing and when I called the front desk they said the heat was on, I asked how to turn it up and they said it couldn\'t be. Slept in a sweater and scarf. The shower smelled like sewage. The front desk had a couple of nice people, but they told us the wrong train station to go to and we probably would\'ve missed our bus if we wouldn\'t have figured it out. Overall though, the rooms were clean and there was a nice breakfast. I guess it was okay for what we paid.
